Hello kids!
Excited yet??? How is your morning?
Hello kids!
um...you could say that.Great! Sounds like you are in a chipper mood.
Hiya Dot! Off to lunch, be back in a bit!

Oh...and hi my Dottie!!!
um...you could say that.![]()
They have started working on my hardwood floors today, so I will actually be living in my house sometime next week! :sohappy: (I'll have pics, don't worry!)
Other than that, I'm bored outta my mind at work. I have one order to work on...which my intern can do when she gets here today and I have a wedding that needs to be worked on, but I don't have the images on cd yet...and I can't do that myself because it's gotta be taken from the negatives. So...that kills that.

Taylor Hicks STINKS!!!
For P&P in 9 days! And for the summer, in 4 months.
Well I was in shorts and a T-Shirt today, if that helps at all
You can live vicariously through me.
Uhh... low 60s
There's a high of 70 today. Do think that's too warm to wear a sweater? A light one I mean.
I might add that I am truly impressed that you, Rick, our token married man, are truly amazing. Not too many spouses of your gender consider Valentine's gifts any time before the 13th of February!
I hate those kind of vacations. - " What do you want to do today? I don't know, what do you want to do? Well maybe we can do this...no, I don't want to do that.etc. etc."
Aargh!!!
peeks in before I rush off for the day.....
Will meet up with Bunny and Marc early tomorrow morning to do MGM. We were going to do AK, but Nemo is dark and that is one of MJ's most favorite things to do...so no AK tomorrow.
I'm feeling kind of cruddy today, but we have an appt with Deb, one of MJ's favorite Aunties, so popping cold pills and going out anyway. This is the beginning of two VERY busy weeks....Nana gets here Friday, Joanna gets here a week from tomorrow, busy, busy, busy.....
Uh...DUH! I have to be honest here...we're in debt, beyond a mortgage. We can pay those bills, but it will take several years to do so. We were young and very very stupid when we acquired our debt, but we are so paying for it now. Which leaves me at a crossroads...when Joel starts kindergarten next year, he will be there all day. So, do I get a part time job, or do I go back to school, get better training and wait for a higher-paying job down the road?
We are guilty of eating lunch & dinner out alot. There are just so many great restaurants here. Plus when there's just 2 of us, sometimes it's just easier/quicker. We are bad
A few pics for you all:
Marc looking VERY irritated with his family, and so far the only picture of me:

I'm amazed that you're still smiling through that Bunny!
Hi Steph, Rick and my Nibblies!
Yes, I am getting very excited.
Sooo tired, but the excitement takes the edge off that.
I was asleep before 8:30 last night, but when the alarm went off at 4:00 I felt like I'd only been asleep about 10 minutes. It's been a looooong morning!
But now I'm just doing laundry and then I will finish packing and I'll be done.
Nibbs. . .Yay for the floors! :sohappy:
Well, it was pretty close cost wise as new carpet. We hired somebody to do our entire house and it's like 2800 for everything...including laying new hardwood in the hallway and staining the floors. Plus putting quarter panneling down. I don't suggest doing it yourself though...too much work.Wood floors, that is next on our list of things to redo. I am scarred to death of the cost though and have considered trying it myself. I've done Pergo before but not real wood.
So, Nibbs are you a photographer?
The school's only about a 5 minute drive. we would have been back sooner, but traffic was tied up from an accident....That was fast... or was it.. how long have been here?
 I wanted to respond to a lot today! :lol:Whoa Nibbs, what a post!!!
And I think I will go for the pamper and dinner idea. Thanks all for the help. I'll let you all know how it goes!
Hi Betty!!! :kiss:I'm back!

And I am sort of a photographer. My parents have their own studio, so I work here. I also photograph weddings. I do the B&W photojournalistic photos. The more candid stuff. Been doing that for about 5 years now I think.
Hi Nibbs!Hi Betty!!!
That's amazing Dot. You're right about all the testing available now - if only they had it back then!Something to share. . .
George, my dear husband , is a very intelligent, motivated and ambitious individual. After retiring from the City of Philadelphia where he worked as a carpenter, he started a new life for himself, first as a photographer then as a computer geek, and most recently Philadelphia historian and documentarian. No slouch, my George!
Over the years though, I have noticed that he struggles with the written word. Funny, we are polar opposites. . .I thrive on the written word and he is in his element when it comes to public speaking. Anyway, like I said, he always seems to have problems reading, particularly out loud.
Our neighbor across the hall is a school psychologist and I mentioned George's problem to him recently. He told us that part of his job was testing children for learning disabilities and he said he'd be happy to test George. Last night, he put George through a battery of tests and came up with a diagnosis. George is "classicly dyslexic". I can't say we were really surprised. It just was strange to have it made definite after so many years of not being sure. It's a shame that at the time George was a student in grade school, there was no such thing as testing for learning disabilities. You were categorized as a "problem child" and that was the end of that.
Anyway. . .I found it interesting and thought you might too.
