Mission: Space
If you want to see some strange irony....
Dig up an old 1983 annual report... In it, then Chairman Ron Miller writes a very long letter to stock holders. In it, he spends a lot of time bragging about how good Horizons is going to be. Soon after that, he was removed as chairman.
Fast Forward to today. Michael Eisner writes a very long letter to shareholders in the 2004 annual report. In it, he spends a lot of time bragging about Mission: Space, the ride that was built on the same spot as Horizons, and had Horizons torn down in order for it to get built. Soon after that, Eisner was removed as chairman.
Will Eisner's successor be demolishing Mission: Space in 2024 to make way for yet something else? And will he too be removed as chairman then?
