Why don't you let those of us who do want to see the tamer version make that choice. If I choose to ride a tamed down version without all the effects that is my choice. If it's not effecting your ride at all why all the outcry. Personally I'd rather get a tamer no g's version than no ride at all. If there is a way that it can be done without effecting everybody elses enjoyment then they should do it.

.
Actually it is. We'd be down one centrifuge.

Just because I won't ride the tamed down version doesn't mean I can't have an opinion on it. I think it's a bad idea whether I'll ride it or not.

I see this as a cop out. This is not a sufficient substitute for the real Mission: Space. I don't think that's possible. But another attraction that incorporates everyone is possible. I understand that Disney isn't going to build that now. That's why I said I hope this solution is just temporary.

I have to agree with Timmay. This ride is not for everyone, and those who can't ride it shouldn't be spiteful about it. Disney has tons of attractions that are geared toward a certain audience. They aren't making alternate versions of those in order to allow everyone to ride. I don't see a verion of Playhouse Disney - Live on Stage! that incorporates fire and stunts for the teenagers. Maybe Disney should create an alternate show so that teenagers can enjoy it.

No. It doesn't work that way.

:sohappy: I'm waiting for that one. When does it begin the overhaul?

I never said it bothers me. I stated that it would indeed affect those who did not want to ride the lite version.

Yet the "M:S-haters" (not your quote) who accuse Mission: Space of being a failure aren't taking that point of view.

Hmm

I'm not sure if I am meant to be part of this or not... I am not a lover of M:S nor am I a hater of it... I dislike it cause I think it sucked, not because i felt it was too intense or because i got sick... in fact, I too love thrill rides..

i just think that we need to give this a chance.. You don't have to like the decision, like I don't have to like the ride... And yes, there are M:S haters calling this ride a failure.. i dunno if I would call it a failure, but just a miscalculation by Disney... If fact, I would venture to say the technology itself was spectacular... I just didn't care for it... :)

How??? You will still have the full version... So, i cannot see how it affects those who want to ride MS the way it was meant to be.

HAHA, coming from the person that was raising "you know what" over someone passing a joke.

Way to be mature about it.

I don't understand why people are arguing over it, Disney has already made their decision, and we will have to live with it for the time being. Everyone will have their opinions and what not, why not just accept them as opinions instead of fighting and attempting to change that person's point of view. After being around here for a little bit, I have found out that it is impossible to sway others in their thoughts, and it usually ends up in 40 pages of arguements.

Less guest flow for the regular centrifuges since one of them is on lite mode, thus longer lines.

:sohappy: I like how we can't have a mature debate, not arguement, after 40 pages. It usually ends in mudslinging, namecalling, and irrational thinking.

MY OPINION: With M:S toning down one of the centrifuges to offer other guests a different experience, WDW is wasting money. I hate to fathom exactly how much one of those machines costs, and to not use it to it's full capacity is beyond me. Now, if they had made the ride originally with a room for those guests unable to handle MS, it would not have bothered me since that room would not contain thousands of dollars of unused machinery and only contained what was needed to give them a watered down version.

So, you'll have to wait 5 extra minutes... instead of walking right on??? I still don't see how this affects you...

To tell you the truth, since you asked ... I attempted to read this thread in its entirety, until I ran across you arguing and complaining about a simple (..but hilarious) joke made earlier. I started to read the first couple of words of your posts to see if they were worthy of reading, which most were not, and I skipped them. :xmas:

Would you have rathered Disney knock down MS and build a new JIYIWF version of M:S??? That would be a waste of money LOL

I see... I see.. So, you ignored my posts... I am so offended.. LOL
And after all, i did only question if it was necessary to call people who may be nervous to ride M:S wimps... I didn't think that was necessary.... nor funny... And like others, I did post my opinions... Glad you didn't like them though and you skipped them...

Where in there did you read that I would want them to knock it down and build another version? I said if it were built "Originally" (meaning from the start) I wouldn't have minded it. I do agree, it would be a waste of money to knock down and rebuild ... but Disney is not doing that are they? What they ARE doing is leaving an expensive machine to do minimal work, which IMO is a waste.

That has nothing to do with anything.

Not utilizing a centrifuge is wasteful. They spent all this money on the development and implementation of the centrifuges and now they're just going to let it sit there. It's poor investment that Disney isn't usually synonymous with.
