Misinformation from guests at the parks is astounding

This is the VERY reason why "reality" shows are so popular with the majority of the population in this country... too many folks takin' too much crap at face value. When I'm forced (yes, at gunpoint...and DW has an itchy trigger finger too ;)) to watch one of those works of pop crapture, DW practically has to gag me. Nothin' more than scripted sitcoms, dramas, etc.

Totally Correct!

my dad was one of those people , kept telling everyone we got 6 free snacks a day, that mickey's hat is in magic kingdom, various misinformation about buses , time tables, park hours & that once our flight was delayed 11 hours but the pilot made the time up with the tail wind. I started body blocking him when I saw him about to go up to someone and open his mouth and pointing at something pretty to distract him .

I heard a couple discussing whether they should go see Harry Potter. The husband said he didn't think they could go there, it was, like a different ticket. The wife said No, their tickets were good for all the parks.

They went back and forth over it for a while, but she eventually convinced him they could.

I realized that Uni employees must have to explain quite a bit that Disney tickets won't work there!

It seems every Universal survey I take asks me something along the lines of, "Did you know your Walt Disney World tickets don't work at Universal?" That they ask almost every survey makes me wonder if they have a real problem with this.

If it happened with that couple, I'm sure they weren't the first!

She had IoA confused with US...and US confused with DHS, so I'm not sure if they ever ended up going. But they did discuss driving across town to get there, because the husband mentioned that they had to leave Disney to go "back near the airport" to get to Harry Potter as one of his reasons for thinking their Disney tickets might not work, lol.

More than ever, I wanted to butt into someone's conversation and say, "You will need to buy another ticket to go to Harry Potter!" But I kept my big yap shut. :)

Luv, I see no reason not to give someone else correct information???

They would thank you in the end when they find out you were right!

I wanted to! But I couldn't figure out a polite way to...

1. butt in to their conversation
2. admit to eavesdropping
3. correct her

If it hadn't been for those things, I totally would have. Since they didn't know me, they couldn't really know I was right. All they'd know, for sure, was that I was unbelievably rude, lol. Not sure how helpful it would have been.

Plus, my mother would be rolling over in her grave and we can't have that. :)

But I wanted to!

So you people are telling me Walt Disney's frozen head is NOT stored in the Partners Statue in front of Cinderella's castle?

Captain Eo will return in a new adventure, to be written and directed by Neil Blomkamp. The new film will star Usher as Captain Eo who is mounting a musical rescue mission to come to the aid of the Queen of Space, played by Sigourney Weaver, from her evil brother, played by Alan Rickman, who is trying to usurp the throne for himself.

Special appearances by Tom Hiddleston as Eo's cyborg copilot/sidekick Major Domo, and Warwick Davis as Hooter.
Hey I'll watch it if Tom Hiddleston is in it!!!!! <3 :p

Stuff like this makes me wonder how many people overhear me talking and assume what I'm saying is wrong because it clashes with whatever thing they have heard. Not to pat myself on the back, but I'm much more informed than the average guest (as are many of you), and if I'm not sure about something, I make a point to specify that, rather than state it as fact. Actually, I apply that to everything. Not enough people do. One of my biggest pet peeves is when people make up something just to be "right" and "informed". If you don't know, I'll respect you much more for admitting that than trying to pass off random BS as truth.
