I have never been to summerland (though it looks cool) but Fantasia was excellent. The course is loaded with some fun "extras" that make it interesting.:)

I like Fantasia. It's more Disney topiary and water themed. Winter Summerland is more traditionally themed mini-golf, but less Disney.

They're both fun, but I prefer Fantasia Gardens for its atmosphere.

If you're up for a challenge, don't overlook the difficult—yet unthemed—mini golf course adjacent to Fantasia Gardens. But play the themed course first.

On the other hand, Winter Summerland is very witty if you love Christmas. Fractured Christmas carols describe each hole, and the entire course is themed to "where Santa spends his summer vacation."

It's my experience that Fantasia is a better mini-golf course than Winter-Summerland. It seems to have more trick shots and obstacles, whereas Winter-Summerland is more straight-forward. That being said, Winter-Summerland has more opportunities to take silly pictures than Fantasia does, so we usually have to do both just to get our fill of two of our favorite Disney pass times. If you can only do one, I'd recommend Fantasia, though. It sometimes has quite a wait during busy times, so be prepared to register your name and wait a while for your tee time.

I think Fantasia is better, but Winter Summerland is much easier to get to if you're relying on Disney transportation to get around!

I don't know how any one else feels about the harder/unthemed course at Fantasia, but to me, it was so difficult that some of the fun was taken out of it. I am a decent putter on a regular golf course, but this ate me alive! :)

I heard WinterSummerland is a bit easier than Fantasia if you're traveling with children!?! But I've never been to either, so I can't say for myself!

I haven't done Fantasia Gardens but we had soooo much fun at Winter Summerland. We did the summer side which was adorable and we just had a blast.

Dont forget you get a discount if you have an AP!

I like Fantasia much more than Winter/Summerland, but the advanced course there is HARD. I'd stick with the regular course at Fantasia, it's themed well and a lot of fun.

Both courses are fun. Winter/Summerland is definately more traditional mini golf. The porblem about this course is that it under the trees and the course mecomes very difficult with all the debris that falls on it.

Fantasia Gardens is beautiful. The standard mini golf course is fun and is Disney. The hard course is just that. Very hard. No typical obstacles, but wavy greens with a short cut carpet that allows you ball to roll so fast. It is worth a try at least once.

Either are worth trying if not both. As said before, don't forget the AP discount. You get to play for 1/2 price.:sohappy:

i just finished up a project on mini golf for my sport management class. Both courses are ADA accessible and are certified by the pmga (professional mini golf association). I believe that fantasia has been used by the pmga for a tournament...

I prefer fantasia, my family is wicked competative:lol: so fantasia gives us more of a challenge. When i was younger winterland/summerland was easier.

Once again depending on transportation, winterland/summerland is much easier to get to. Alhtough my family has had some interesting trips involving, a boat, monorail and bus to get to fantasia, so its pretty much toss up.

Btw- ap saves you alot!!

We were going to do both but only had time for Fantasia Gardens. We would definetly recommend it. Just make sure you read every sign for clues to a better putt.

I've done both the summer & winter course at Winter Summerland and Fantasia. I love them all - I love minigolf. My experience is the that the Winter Summerland course is easier, and a little less kept up with. Fantasia seems to be more Disney themed IMO, and in a bit better shape.

I prefer Fantasia, I'm looking forward to trying the non-themed course. I haven't done that one yet.

I like the Wintersummerland crazy golf better than fantasia, it was less crowded than fantasia and you could pretty much just walk straight on it no problem. However it was 2002 the last time we went so I don't know what the crowds are like at it now.

I think it depends on whether you're going with children and how young they are.

We have done all courses with our 7-year old. He preferred Wintersummerland the best.

As far as crowds go, Fantasia Gardens is right near a major intersection/interchange and is easily visible from the road, so people see it and know that it's there. With Wintersummerland, if it weren't for the sign for the course, it'd be difficult to notice just driving by. Even knowing that it IS there, it's hard to notice, aside from the sand castle.

[Just my $.02 :animwink:]

Also, at Wintersummerland, we got a free Mickey golf ball. We didn't get a ball at Fantasia, but I don't know what standard policy is. Anyone else get free golf balls at either place?
