So the ride time based on the video is 1 minute 45 seconds. (I'm being very generous)
It has to be short going by the track length. The only way they can up the ride time is to slow the speed in that show scene and on the two lifts. Of course there will also be the load and unload time.

With the video, they offered more than I expected. I really expected nothing at all to come out of the chat, and without that video, I would have been correct. The video is interesting, though I need to wait to get home so I can watch it on a screen and not my phone. That split screen effect on my phone screen really didn't show me a whole lot.

So what did you all think to that chat?

Nothing new was offered, although the video was very interesting. In fact, I think they showed too much there. from what I know of the attraction it has left very little to be discovered outside of the queue area.

Aside from the video (which I really enjoyed) it was about as pleasant as jamming a pen in my eye. The canned responses appearing at a snail's pace was very frustrating to follow along with. The video was more than I expected to see.

I like it. It probably should have been done a year or so ago but I like it. It will add some dimension to that area and take the heat off other areas. Barnstormer is a cute little quick ride, and Thunder Mountain is a Disney classic outdoor coaster so if this winds up right in the middle of those two rides, I'm happy.

I could have done without the chat and just seen the video. That being said, I am grateful for the tiny peeks into the development of the attractions. I am always on the fence cause on one hand I like to be surprised and know almost nothing (Diagon Alley, Test Track) but on the other hand I love getting to see the development of attractions from beginning to end

It looked like it started after the first lift hill and ended before the final (cottage) scene. Also, the main mine scene was truncated and we don't know how much of the larger second lift hill was in the video. So, the video IMHO probably isn't a great indicator of how long the ride will be. If the ride vehicles slow down -- or even completely stop at times? -- as they are rumored to do during the show scenes, then it could make the ride a good bit longer.

I'm still guessing something between 2 to 2.5 minutes for ride length.

I don't agree. It showed us very little of any indoor show scenes. We still have no idea what an AAs or other stuff is like. I'm actually disappointde that we learned nothing about them. I was hoping we might get a sense of what is in the cottage or at the mine entrance at the top fo the first lift hill.

Also, I'm curious as to what the soundtrack is like on the ride.

I thought it was interesting watching the mine train exit the mine… it looked like there were large wooden gates/doors that were propped open. Does anyone know anything about those from all the concept talk in the 7DMT ride construction thread?

There was a rumor of a Dopey AA causing the train to go "the wrong way" at the top of the lift hill, but the ride video doesn't seem to allow for that to be the case.

Dave Minichiello:
Yes, we do have some interactive elements in the queue. Part of the “scene one” in the queue area helps us start to tell the story. We have an area where guests can sort and wash jewels, and for the first time, we’re taking guests into the vault as seen in the classic film ‘Snow White.'
Is this like Scene One in the BOG Restaurant where guests can sort and wash dishes to help tell the story?

I was really hoping they would spend more time talking about the paint on the ride vehicles again or what kind of soap is in the cast member restrooms... Should we be concerned when marketing keeps bringing up that fact that they painted the ride vehicles as something fabulous and unique? Weren't the original Snow White's Scary Adventures ride vehicles painted and wood grained? Why is this newsworthy?
What a pointless marketing ploy this all was.

Yes. We were excited for the re-release of the source material this Christmas and hope to have the guests' anxiety level rise as they worry about waking the dragon that lives in the mine and the eventual destruction of Lake Town. Further, there will be more development of the love story between the dwarf and the pretty elf lady.
Mr. George, report to the detention office immediately.. We're talking about Snow White universe, not the Lord of the rings one.

I think Jenn is on the moon, and Dave is hanging from the top of the Mine Train mountain installing grass and answering on his iPhone. It is seriously slow following along with this chat.
perhaps they're counting all the number of diamonds installed.

Death metal, if I had to guess.
Nah, Hard Rock would be my guess.. as they love to hit the hard rock with their pikes.. get it? hard rock!!

As for the question: How many people actually worked in this project? from designing to completion?

Nah!

I'm guessing...

Wait for it...

Hard Rock!
are you my lost brother or something? I was thinking exactly the same.

I fear it will have a similar line as big as other FP+ attractions.. aka a 30 minute wait or more.. for 1 and half ride.
