Mine Ride Construction Update

Does anyone have pictures of the bridge that was going in on the side with the big drop? In the design pictures it was a hollowed out tree but didn't seem like that was still the plan per some insiders on this forum.

I agree lots of work being done the past week or so. Thank you new fiscal year. Hopefully they keep it up and can get soft openings by February 14.

Awww sorry Steve....I am hopeful they will push through it... Just tired of the dragging on...
Its ok. :) I hear you though. I was there last October and saw how much was already done and thought it would be done in a few months. At least at the rate they were working at then.

From the amount of time between updates, i am not sure they are working on it faster, i just think they are fewer pictures circulating now and it makes it seem like they are doing more.

I saw a picture update about a week ago. They have made a ton of progress in a week.

Maybe my eyes are bothering me but it doesn't look like a ton of work has been done by these pictures.

The point I took away from the pics was that:
1) From Sept 5th to Sept 28th (23 days) almost no progress was visible.
2) Between Sept 28th and Oct 9th (11 days) there was quite a bit of visible progress on the rockwork underlayment, a least.
3) This supports the prevailing idea that the costs are being spread from year to year, as Disney's fiscal year begins October 1st.

Now, if nothing has happened since Oct 9th, then that support is considerably weakened.

Some more pictures from yesterday here. Not a lot of progress since the 9th, at least on the rockwork.

Thanks for the link, but I disagree, there has been a lot of progress since last week. The steel wrap is complete and the right side of the mountain (towards storybook circus and Ariel) has received a lot of detailed concrete work. At this pace, the exterior of the mountain will be done in a month.

Can we quote you on this? :) Nov 15, 2013?

I just went and reviewed the Oct 9th pictures here, and still don't see much difference in the Oct 14th. Since I am not local all I have to judge by is the pictures - and there are definitely areas that are only covered in one or the other, so there might be more progress than I see in the pictures.

I really hope they make blazing progress on this, because I'd love to participate in soft openings in early January. I'm definitely not counting on that, though.
