I am guessing thats the loading station, but it looks pretty nice how the track goes under the floor and makes the loading and unloading pretty easy.

I would love to see an adult sitting in the car so we can get and idea of the size. Can two the the average sized men in the picture above fit in the car side by side?

I don't know why they hold these chats. No questions are ever answered in any kind of meaningful way, and it just makes them look more guarded than they already are. If they're not ready to answer questions they know they're going to get, DON'T HOLD A CHAT. I don't know who taught these people social media, but they're doing it wrong.

Disney won't release an opening date this early. They probably feel if they said it would be opening in Feburary or March now people would put off their late fall / early winter trips until after it's done.

Yeah, I thought that was interesting also, does make loading very easy. They also mentioned that there will be a car for wheelchair transfers. I assume this one will have an opening in the side or a door.

This one was actually slightly better then the others. There are were a few things that have been debated recently, like the height limit that were answered in this chat. It's not much but it's actually more then we have gotten before.

How would the wheel chair car work being a lot of swaying and minor drops? I would think they would have to be pretty confident it won't be violent enough to pose any risk. Does any other ride, like BTMRR or Barnstormer have wheelchair cars?

Barnstormer and BTMMR have openings in the side of the cars making it easy to transfer a person from a wheelchair. It appears that you will have to step into the mine cars, so they will need a special car with an opening in the side of a door to allow someone to easily transfer from a wheelchair.

"Jenn Fickley-Baker:
Our reader Patricia also had a good follow-up question, which is, ‘I’ve seen a pretty little cottage in concept art for the ride and have spotted the steel shell of it being built now…and I wonder if that will be a building that guests walk through to get onto the ride.’ Can you tell us?"

The formal, slightly stilted use of first-person diction makes me wonder if "Patricia" is the former WDWMagic poster who had a very public Meltdown after being outed as having completely fabricated "her" richly imagined fantasy life in Mineral City, Ohio...

I find it interesting that the lantern appears like it will be painted later and not have an actual light.

I don't see an indication that there will be a lack of doors. Having people climb over the car walls sounds quite dangerous, even for the able bodied. I image the wheelchair friendly car will be larger in some manner or have a wider door complete with grab bar to help assist in the transfer from the chair to ride vehicle.

I don't think there are doors If you look at the left side of the car it looks like there is an opening it's not solid like the right side. It's at least lower. Although that would make it seem you load and unload from the same side so a load station and an unload station.

I think you are correct. Now that I look closer at the picture there does appear to be openings on the left side of the car. Guess they are going to have to positions, one for load and the other for unload. Since the entrance and exit are on the same side of the mountain this would simplify things so they don't need to have a way to pass either over or under the tracks.

Agreed, makes sense the doors would be on the right side only. It would explain why the other pic of the test car on the back of the truck is photographed from the left. The Mine Train wouldn't be the first coaster where you enter and exit on the same side - Everest, and even RnRC, is the same concept.
