Mine Ride Construction Update

My predictions for construction (based on nothing, so you know they're important!)

- Construction ends on January 1 2014, so that no money needs to be spent on construction during the second quarter of fiscal 2014
- Cast previews and testing for the month of January
- Public soft openings for Februrary to accomodate such things as the President's Day weekend crowds
- Official opening in March

And now I wait to hear how wrong I am by our resident insiders.

The entrance in that picture appears to be right next to the big drop, so that would be where the cars return to the unload/load area. Not sure if that is what you meant?

@Lee has indicated in the past that there is a second, smaller indoor portion at the second half of the ride. From the previous schematics, I think that this second indoor area was after all the drops, so maybe this is the entrance to that.

Yeah, sorry I wasn't more clear.
That appears to be where the cars enter the load/unload part of the mountain at the end of the ride.

No, in this final, shorter version of the ride, there is only the one indoor section in the ride. Next time the cars go inside, it's to unload.

I guess I'm not up to speed. Is the following picture not the planned layout? I thought it was and it shows and indoor portion on the bottom left, separate from the load/unload.

That's an extremely short stretch of the track, if it's truly "indoors" it can't be anything more than a quick tunnel/covered trench. Pure guess here, but maybe this is where there will be a quick glimpse of the Witch menacing at you as you fly through. [insert Disco Witch joke here]

Hah-hah....now I see where the confusion is.
That little brown bit on the last part of track is not an inside show scene.

The layout I was working from showed...a...something there. Perhaps a bridge.
Now, I don't think there is anything there at all. The photo being discussed is of the re-entry into the mountain for load/unload, just around the area of the cottage scene.

To the best of my knowledge.....no witch.
(Not a guarantee, just what I heard the last time I got info on the ride.)

Thank you for the clarification. I guess I always assumed that that area was a small second show scene based on how the picture was labelled.

Is there a possibility that there could be any show scenes in the loading/unloading building, either at the beginning or the end of the ride?

There is definitely something there, you can see it in the picture below. It appears to just be a bridge.
