Mine Ride Construction Update

So they are putting in the fake entrance. Cool.
It needed something there.

Also see a new wooden bridge that wasn't included on either the plans or the model. Looks nice.

Not much doubt about it from these recent pictures. I went back and looked at the other pictures and they clearly show the yellow plastic stuff in that same spot. It must have been there only temporarily.
Yep. It wasn't there a month ago. I like it.

I realize how much time, work and effort this all takes, but man! I feel like nothing has changed in the longest time!
It is taking too long. We are so starved for new ride/attraction construction at WDW that the SDMT sadly (although it will be a fun, little ride) has our full attention. To every pictorial update on various sites, forums, tweets, etc. which also doesn't help.

Isn't universal building an even bigger version of this ride (themed to the amber mines of Jurassic Park) that there gonna have open in a year and a half? Why did disney need 3 years to build this??

There never seems to be a lot of builders there when pictures are posted, maybe if there was more builders working on it, it would be done quicker but obviously they don't seem in any rush to get it finished and opened

LOL! It's true the Disney Parks Blog can spin more stories about absolutely nothing!

I don't envy those guys. When nothing has gone on for so long of any importance, significance, or to generate any excitement, it must be hard to keep the quota up.

This is the first time i have come to this thread in months because I can't bear it. It's worse than watching paint dry.

Universal can build an E-ticket in a under a year from ground breaking to opening day - and we are waiting what will be close to a half-decade for this little mountain to be finished.

But hey, we got Magic Bands! (Well, the subset of guests who will ever actually use one, LOL.)

I know there were guys working when we were there a few weeks ago. I was walking by with the wall on my right but looking at something on my left when I totally ran into two workers exiting! I apologized profusely because I absolutely did not expect anyone to be walking out one of the doors! Thank goodness they were nice about it. I mentioned I didn't think anyone was in there and they said there wasn't at the moment. That crew was done for the day and they were going to get ice cream.
