I could have sworn someone (Lee perhaps) said that the cottage was going to be the final show scene where the Dwarfs and Snow White dance.

This was posted earlier this month:

According to Lee there is no gift shop in the cottage and you don't exit through it...
Based on the diagrams I have/seen, that would be the case.
However, the way things have changed on this ride in the last 18 months or so, anything is possible.
I don't recall seeing anything official about the cottage being guest-accessible...

Hmm. Looks like the purported opening for the fake mine entrance on top of the second lift hill has been closed up. :devilish:

(Runs for cover....or popcorn...)

Looks like you might be right, I don't see any evidence of a mine entrance anymore. Just an FYI, that's the first lift hill.

Da Mouse has a new update too, a lot of the rock work at ground level around the track is coming along, and from the looks of the Mine Train model I don't think that first lift, fake mine entrance will be visible from the ground

So damouse is saying they are hearing rumblings that construction is ahead of schedule. Doesn't really seem to be near completion, do I need to bump my guess up from March 15 to January or February?

Doubtful, this isn't that close to completion. The front side needs at the minimum 6 more months of work.

When do they work on this thing? I swear in every picture there is never anybody.. do they work when the park is closed???

I bet that if they had actually worked on this project a full 10 hours a day up until now that they could have it completed by September. You're right though. Every picture I see of this ride's construction has no one working on it. A very few have had some workers, but that was during the very beginning of construction.

Construction work is loud. Can't have that in the middle of a fantasy theme park. (Whereas eighty loud Brazilians screaming and chanting, however, is fine)

Can;t blame Disney for not building during opening hours. I do have a slight inkling though that there was a bvery deliberate plan behind the tiered opening of NFL. The idea is that customers come visit the finished part of the repurposed FL this year, to see Mermaid and Belle. Then there they see this massive construction in the middle of it and are supposesed to say to themselves 'honey, we've got to come back next summer for the Snow White coaster!'

One repurposing project, and it is marketed as 'new this year!' for three years in a row. One can't help but wonder if the building schedule is adjusted to support marketing.
