Mine Ride Construction Update

the technology used for these AA's could be like the one used on Lumiere from ETWB????
Depends on what part of the "AA" you're talking about i'd imagine. I'm no insider, but the diagrams indicate that the Dopey figure's eyes (the ones where he put diamonds on his eyes) will use rear projection for the eye effects. Lumiere uses a projection for his face if i'm not mistaken. I guess it's plausible that more than just the Dopey figure could be using this kind of tech on the eyes, but I highly doubt the rest of the bodies will be articulated anywhere near as well as the Lumiere figure. As Lee stated, he apparently saw these figures a while back and wasn't impressed at all (supposedly not all that much more impressive than some of the original moving figures from the old Snow White ride),

Do I need to pass out measuring sticks, kids?

During the train-the-trainers gig, are the carts running? When are people actually allowed to ride the attraction- the trainers first?

Do the imagineers ride with the trainers and point out what everything is and what should be moving/the effects so they know how the ride is supposed to look and function?

Did that make any sense at all? I'm sorry if it didn't, I really need more coffee.

I don't know what to make of this, or how reliable the source is, but I just found this tidbit and figured I'd pass it along...

"Speaking of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, we were told Wednesday night that employees were getting a special late night preview of the attraction. There is word that coaster could open to the public for soft openings as soon as Thursday, with a definite opening by Monday. Media will be at the attraction April 30th, so it can’t be long now."

Oops, didn't realize @CheekBoys had posted a link already... :D

Probably nothing to get excited about... but the final page of that booklet promises a preview of the future for WDW and other Disney destinations on the final day of the media event.

"Disney: we're committed to increasing the number of benches by one at every Disney Destination worldwide in 2014*." #rockyourdisneyside

*Actual project completion estimated for 2021, subject to delays.
