Mind Blowing attractions

M:S is good. It seems kind of under-rated to me (along with Dinosaur). You may be alone, but hey, its your opinion. I think M:S gets dinged because many can't/won't do the thrilling version, the green side is somewhat meh, and it replaced Horizons. I really think people would like it better if Horizons still stood and M:S was somewhere else in FW.

I like M:S but would enjoy it more if it were part of a bigger "edutainment" pavilion based on space travel and exploration. Conceptually, it's great to have something based on space travel in Epcot, but the overall experience is not as engaging as it could/should be.

Stitches great escape it always blows my mind that they built that

I think the ride concept behind Stitch's is actually great with using all the senses except for sight to experience it. The execution is poor with it being too silly to be taken seriously by adults and too scary for young children who might enjoy Stitch. It goes without saying but Extraterrestrial Encounter was an awesome experience and was, to go along with this thread, pretty mind blowing the first time I experienced it.

I wonder how difficult it would be to convert it back to that ride? I know that's wishing against realty, but the basic setup and mechanics are the same, so it wouldn't be a terribly complicated reversion if there was a motivation to do so.

Havent been to HP yet but I agree with the others. First time we went on Spiderman and Revenge of Mummy rides I was blown away. Why Oh Why doesn't Disney bring in something comparable?

Tower for mind blowing.
(Can it really be 17 years ago...)

Forbidden Journey for Orlando's best.

I just realized I hadn't answered my own queries...My answer would be the same as yours, so out of laziness I'd thought I'd quote you and then do more typing than if I had simply said ToT and FJ.

You're saying that The Little Mermaid isn't on the same level as Spider-Man or Mummy...? ;)

Oh how I wish I could say so....I havent ridden on Little Mermaid but have seen the videos others have posted. ;) I remember Alien ride being exhilirating but still the Mummy being more thrilling and heart pumping.

Most WDW attractions have mind blowing technology. It's hard to pick one. A few would be EE, Soarin', Test Track, and PhillharMagic (The 3D there is so good... I can't see 3D and I see that perfectly).

Gee...i feel like such a wimp listing BTMR.....

...but i love it. Even better with all the effects working.

I am not a coaster fan...but adore this ride on many levels.
If i had the guts, i would brave EE. I have watched POV videos and it looks spectacular visually, but the missing effects and immobile Yeti depress.

Full on new build, no space wasted no dead areas amazing from start to finish?

TZTOT.

Everest has too much dead ride space and minimalist effects that are even more minimal now. Not to mention light leaks and structural beams visible inside a "mountain". It looks great until you start the ride.

You took the words right out of my mouth. ToT is Disney's last great theme park masterpiece. Fully immersive, realistic and emotional from start to finish, inside and out.

It feels like the last time they really tried.

I would have to go with the late alien encounter. Totally blew me away when I first rode it. i thought it was the most brilliant experience in the parks.

I'm probably a minority here but mine would have to be Toy Story Mania. It's a ride, it's a video game, it's in 3D, it has a huge interactive animatronic Mr. Potato Head, what's not to love?

Forbidden journey the detail in it from start to finish the que in itself is a attraction, and the ride is amazing. Spiderman is along the same level as far as the concept.

For originality tot does it for me, its taken a simple concept of a drop ride and made it one big experience, that what makes these rides so special the build up and how well they Raise the tension. The actually main concept of the ride doesnt have to be all that advanced.

Mind Blowing? Any of the Circle-Vision 360 movies...seriously. It's amazing to me that technology like that was used and perfected almost 60 years ago and hasn't changed much since.

As far as actual rides, I'd say ToT. The ride system is pretty standard but the level of detail and those few scenes before the drop starts are what really make the ride awesome.

All of Orlando... HP Forbidden Journey or Mummy. Like others have said, just the castle queue of HP is absolutely amazing and could be (and is, if you don't to ride) an attraction by itself. The Mummy coaster is an awesome revamp of a traditional coaster and I would love to see something like that come to WDW.
