Mickey's Toontown Fair begins its transformation February 2011

I agree. They need to maintain and add to the parks they already have. AK for example has room for a good half centuies worth of expansion and Disney Studios has plenty of updating to do.

Right. I don't want to see a 5th until the other 4 have reached maturity. DHS and AK have a long way to go, in my book.

Yay! MK will become Construction Kingdom!

Construction = progress. Ugly? Yes. Inconvenient? Yes. Good? YES! :)

I think Toontown would be back. A lot of people miss it now...imagine 20 years from now when they announce a new land in wdw for mickey and his pals. But it would be toontown to the extreme. with houses for mickey, nemo, alice, maleficent, and other random disney toons. i think it would be a great idea. and of course 1 toon would move out and have another one move in...that way its always changing. =D

As much as that would be nice to happen I realistically don't think that would happen whatsoever.
In 20 years time in 2031 you're going to have a new generation where people won't have seen ToonTown whatsoever and people will be used to the idea of it not being there by then.
20 years is a long time however and there could be a new part of Fantasyland being expanded/updated by then.
I certainly hope that new ToonTown park is created either, I personally think that DHS and DAK need expansion at first and Epcot needs (only slightly) updating and that's at least 20-30 years work.

Well, AK has Camp Minnie-Mickey, so I guess they could expand that for "Toontown" purposes.

Although that's not the kind of expansion anyone else here would really want to see at AK

Toon Town has no place anywhere close to AK. I don't like Camp Mickey-Minnie but at least they can try to incorporate some elements to it to make it make sense... I said they could, not that they do. If they are going to do anything to recreate a toon town, it needs to go in HS.

But what of the Magic Kingdom? I have a feeling that they're just going to stick Mickey and Minnie in front of bare walls at the Exposition Hall and leave it at that. I don't know why they have to do that.

They are entirely redoing the exposition hall back there, I think it will be more themed than that. What Im wondering is why wasnt this included in the new press info last week?

How do you know they're entirely redoing the Exposition Hall? Do you have any evidence to back this up?

They have been doing work on the backside of Expo Hall for MONTHS! Probably since at least August or September of 2010. I think they may have even did some roof work to expand the the height possibly?

That's about all I know, but they have been busy working back there. Not sure if you could tell/see any proof of that when the Main Street By-Pass is open on busy parade nights or not.

So why only Town Square for the characters?

I still think that housing Mickey and Minnie in the Expo Hall is an awkward choice, since it's right inside the park entrance. It's off to the side and I don't think people realize it's there. They're going in or out of the park.

It's like with the Opera House at Disneyland where Mr. Lincoln is. The location for that show is problematic. People are just walking in or leaving the park and are not thinking about doing attractions at that particular juncture. The hat shop next door can do more business than the show does.

So if Mr. Lincoln never did much business, how can they expect the Expo Hall to do better, even if it is in a different park?

Town Square isn't the only place in the park for characters. There are characters in other locations as well
