This November will mark Mickey Mouse's 80th birthday (looks pretty good for his age, lol). Is Disney going to do anything special for this. Just wondering. Thanks.

Anybody else notice that he actually gets better looking with age?

Think back when he was young...he didn't have any color in his skin...and now he's vibrant...(and a better dresser I might add).

He has also come out of his shell more...he usually just walked around whistling...and now he's the life of the party ;)

Well from what I recall..
60th - Mickey's Birthdayland
65th - No Clue?
70th - No Clue?
75th - InspEARation Statues in front of MK
80th - Nothing has been mentioned..

It's not like they know that it's Mickey's birthday coming up but I'm gonna be agreeing that will probably see some pins of some sort..I do believe the Disney Dollars also had 4 different Mickey's celebrating his 80th. There is also a Pez Dispenser set with 4 Mickey's in his biggest roles...

This would have been a great way to market the new what will you celebrate promotion. they could have said in honor of Mickeys 80th birthday, were giving everyone free admission, and other surprises on there birthdays. then they could of had the Magic Kingdom all decked out in Mickeys 80th birthday decorations. well never mind this is how the old Disney would have done it.

Was there for the official opening of Mickey's Birthday land. A great time. My 2 1/2 year old son wouldn't go on any rides inside because it was dark and my 4-month-old son couldn't tolerate the sun so he didn't do anything outside. My wife and I hardly saw each other that trip. I had the outside son, she had the inside son. But the Grand Floridian really was nice.

Maybe they should do a special finale tag after Wishes (like they do with Illuminations on some nights), and they could use the Mickey shape fireworks.

Highly doubt that...lol...

That's why officially Disney doesn't celebrate Mickey's or any characters B-Days anymore. They celebrate their anniversary's, becasue they are "Timeless characters that will always remain young at heart!"

Well, last year for his 79th, we had all the guest telling all the guests that it was Mickey's birthday. We told them all to go see Mickey and wish him a happy birthday. There was even a giant cake backstage for Mickey and Minnie to celebrate with.

Who knows for this year?

BTW, in case no one realized it, yesterday was Winnie The Pooh's birthday. He turned 82. The dream squad came at a certain time and gave the next xxx number of people, that came through the queue in the UK, balloons and a certificate thanking them for helping to celebrate Pooh's birthday. It was nice. I think they did something backstage for Pooh as well, but I didn't get back to hear about it.

That was very nice of them to do that. I know they did that for Donald as well on his birthday. Donald showed me the big birthday card he got.

Behind every great man, is an even better woman. Thank Minnie! :D
