I know this probably belongs in another part of the boards and one of the moderators can eventually move it.

Mickey Mouse will be visiting all of the remaining U.S. Disney Stores this summer as part of an effort to keep guests shopping with them. I do not know the schedule for the visits but you may ask at your local Disney Store if they know when his arrival may be.

So will they be transporting Mickey and his friend all over the country, or just his... outfit?

I'm sure there will be an actor playing Mickey as this will probably coenside with the Home Base visit to see all of the remaining stores since Disney bought them back from Hoop Retail.

I wish they would send him to Britain to visit our stores! But then, the Disney Stors are the only bit of Disney we have and I believe they are doing quite well over here! They're certainly always busy!

But how fab would it be to walking down the street and see Mickey coming the other way on his way to the store!?! I think my jaw would hit the pavement!

Is this official? Is there a press release somewhere or is it just internal?

Regardless, I think it's a GREAT idea and something they should've been doing all along. The stores have so much they can draw on to promote them, not doing so is just foolish.

On a related note, I'm real surprised there aren't any DVC or just Vacation Planning kiosks in the stores. Seems like something that would also be a great thing to have in them. If nothing else, I think they should take a senior store member from each store to Disney World or Disney Land and give them some "advanced training" on the parks, so they would be more capable of representing and maybe even selling a few vacations.

I just called the nearest DS to me (Mall Of NH) and was told Mickey is NOT visiting. They said this was False. I hope they just don't have the info yet.

The Doorway to Dreams store in Woodfield Mall is celebrating their 1 year anniversary the weekend of August 2-3. I have a feeling Mickey and friends will be there for that. He has been there in the past.

If this is true, those lines at the Mall are gonna make Judge's Tent's line look like COP on a cold, rainy day in late January.

if i recall selling dvc requires a realtors license as you are "selling" property. i'm sure that is something most cm's dont want to go thru in addition to the extra duties of a manger, etc.
