We just bought our dvc at DWTD. My kids are looking forward to more events there and if Mickey visits I will never get them out! :ROFLOL:

Mickey to visit U.S. Disney Stores

This may be the type of appearance that applies to my brother's friend, a CM who is close friends with Mickey. She has traveled "with" Mickey to several places across the US and Canada for corporate events and appearances.
A few years back Mickey came to Niagara Falls (we waited in line for like 2 hours...in the middle of the winter!), and he was based out of California, so I don't know which coast Mickey might be traveling from.
Anyway, I wish that we still had one darn Disney Store open here in Buffalo....heck, even in Rochester (which is more than an hour away). The closest one now is I believe in Syracuse, which is 2.5 hours (any members here from Syracuse - I'm guessing the Carousel Mall one remained open?!?)....I would still contemplate going, though, since I won't be able to visit WDW for a year, and seeing Mickey might bridge the gap a little bit

Minnietoo,:wave: he was there in Feb. So were Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale. We got a picture with all of them at once. It was great.

I believe everything East of the Mississippi River is taken care of by WDW...every thing west is done by DL....this DCE wise....

I thought so too...except the Mickey in Niagara Falls was from Cali....perhaps he was making several stops so they stuck with a West Coast team (and there was quite a decent-sized team of DL-based CMs with good ole Mickey).
It's official. There was a conference call last week to all the stores in the U.S. and they talked about Mickey as if he were a real person. "Mickey came into our offices and we went over his trip plans..."
As far as selling DVC in the stores I don't think it will happen. Disney Store CM's are selling merchandise, not real estate. But almost all Disney Store CM's know more about the parks than your average Joe. If they don't they usually can direct you to someone there who does. Videos and information on WDW and DL are available to watch backstage while on breaks.
I just called the nearest DS to me (Mall Of NH) and was told Mickey is NOT visiting. They said this was False.I hope they just don't have the info yet.
He is. They might not be giving out the information yet but they will have a visit this summer by Mickey. :wave:

My Warwick Mall has a Disney store. I wonder if and when he'll be there. I would SOOO GO!

But "Mickey" himself will not be visiting the stores!! He is far to busy working at the Parks!!!! But Home Base is sending a "Special Mickey" stuffed animal to the DS. There will also be a camera to take pictures with and a journal to write down messages to Mickey. He will be in each store for one day only and then sent on his way to a new store!!
Sorry if anyone got excited about the REAL Mickey coming!!!

Sorry but he is coming. I heard the conference call myself and it was explained to all of our CM's clearly by the DM.

Sorry but he is not comming. I saw the paper on it at work last night and asked my manager about it to make sure. I think the sending a special plush around would be cute if he was there for more than a day.

It wasn't a memo, it was a conference call with the Home Base office in CA.

In your case, yes. I was referencing the note that Bug saw. Anyway, it will be interesting to see how this plays out. Obviously, someone has the facts wrong.

She is correct!!! It is not "THE REAL MICKEY". I was too on the conference call and they said it was going to be "some form of Mickey".
And yesterday we got the communication sent from HB that it is a stuffed Mickey in a box with a camera and journal. We have very specific instructions of what to do with the box an it's contents and then we are to send it to the next store on the list, the very next day.
Our store can't wait though!!! I think it is going to be fun!!!
We are excited about the new magic happening with in the stores!!!!
