We learned that trainers have to wear khaki pants, and even the president knows how to put on a fake persona! One CM mentioned she'd been watching "Mickey Shorts" all her life! lol! Mickey Shorts are typically considered the films which began in 1928:

Eh, I've been watching Mickey Shorts all my life too and I was born in 1975. Saw them in the theater before Davy Crocket, saw them on the old Disney Channel, saw them on the magical express busses and disney cruises, and still see them on Disney plus. Don't really think that's a big deal to nit pick about.

There is so much wrong with this video. Goodbye forever to the Disney look we all were accustomed to for CM's. Noticed it on my trip last week, too. So much inconsistency in regards to facial hair, shirts tucked or untucked, and even CM's just standing around with their hands in their pockets, leaning on walls twirling their hair, etc. Unfortunately there's more...

I'm just picking on her young age, but I'm really just ranting on this attraction being based on the new Mickey Mouse which is a little too uncomfortably vaudeville in my opinion, compared to how he looks "in person."

I think the last thing Disney wants is people standing in lines. This offers them no monetary benefit whatsoever

Disney does want and need lines. It draws out someone's stay and prevents them from 'needing too much' to do.

If you could do everything the MK had to offer in half a day.. why would you book 2-3 days to be there?

lines are also a reflection of 'popularity' - ask any retailer... You want some resemblance of demand as it generates demand in itself as people are drawn to checkout what the line/crowd is about.

Disney tracks and trends how many attractions/experiences a guest does a day. There is a happy medium there they try to hit. Enough guests feel satisfied... but not excessive.

Cast being sent home or struggling for hours due to low attendance is definitely a thing. When things are slower staffing levels are lower. Nobody is disputing that. When demand does not require full capacity at certain attractions capacity can is reduced. Nobody is disputing that either. It’s also nothing new and not related to fastpass or fastpass+. It has been the case for decades.

But that's the thing... low attendance doesn't necessarily mean low waits. If you send people home based on attendance, rather than demand, you end up in the situation where popular attractions run higher waits than what is reflective of the overall attendance level. It's all about doing things 'enough' instead of 'best possible'

The ride has not even opened yet ,for me I would wait til I ride it before I judge it.I have not even went on Rise yet.

Yes I agree but the training team has said that it will be a good ride but they are not that excited about it. I guess we need to keep our expectations in check.

For us.. we see that bare walls are basically wallpapered.. and the theatre area still largely is the same with some minor finishes added

Beyond that, the parks would be absolutely miserable if there were no lines. You'd be dramatically increasing the number of people in the shops, restaurants, and just walking around. Lines are absolutely necessary for the parks to function, both for Disney AND for guests.

I'm positive no one here wants to suddenly experience the Magic Kingdom with thousands of additional people crowding the walkways and everywhere else.

Hasn't it been mentioned that Josh is kind of a good guy when it comes to being a park president? You know, making appearances and not being an emotionless robot like Chappy but also being a pretty outstanding guy in general. I remember the DL forum raving about him before we stole him.

Right?? Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Marvel, all the stuff Fox left behind...should have been an IP no-brainer for them.
