Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway SPOILER Thread

Definitely the only thing that I found to be a negative were the exposed ceilings, though I’m not exactly sure how some of them would have been done successfully. Some were noticeable and some weren’t. But overall this is a great ride and the song was stuck in my head all day.

Also, I rode in three of the four cars and I think the middle two I actually preferred to the first and last. If I were to pick I’d do the second car, because you’d miss the least in terms of having ideal sightlines in every scene.

Forgot to mention this, but your post reminded to point out that I also got to ride in every one of the vehicles and the last vehicle is easily the “worst” in my opinion in terms of how much story you miss. 1-3 have varying pros and cons but I can’t think of any real positive of the last vehicle (except maaaaybe in the factory scene).

Yes surprising that they designed it and allowed that to happen where you miss so much story from that vehicle.

I would be surprised if they have a strict guideline of no videotaping povs..When I went to see Lightning's racing academy CM's were forcing guests to stop video taping..A guy next to me had his phone out and they said to him to please turn it off or they would have to leave...

A POV will always find it’s way over to YT

I think he’s referenced briefly? It was hard to get a good look and make it out. In the carnival room, there’s a “hall of mirrors” to the far right. There’s sketchy poster advertisements on the exterior that I believe are Oswald but might also be a “stretched” mirror Mickey. Or maybe that in itself is supposed to be a tongue-in-cheek reference to how Mickey was designed after Oswald?
That’s a shame. Figured about as much.

It also makes sense how the 2.5-D works..It has a similarty to Food Rocks on how the perspective of depth worked as you sat in the theater and the table was the stage looking it at an odd angle..

PHOTOS - First detailed look inside Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway

Now look...I realize that I have basically said nothing negative about this ride. But WOW just WOW these pictures really show the scale of these show scenes. Some of these scenes are just art-work worthy (I’m looking at the one with Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto). I cannot WAIT this looks incredible almost everything I wanted in a Mickey ride.

Please, I really hope we get a full experience POV come tomorrow. This looks like a slam dunk.

EDIT: Super obvious Mickey fireworks!
Also, I really hope they sell a Perfect Picnic Poster as a print

I really dislike the animatronics, but I also really dislike the whole look of the characters in the current Mickey shorts. I wish this ride had the more classic look.

With that said, everything else about the ride looks great in photos. I love how full every scene is; there's stuff all around you. I'm excited to ride eventually.
