Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway - Disneyland

But I don't see any evidence where Disney HAS to change anything just because its no longer 'in'. Perfect point, Toontown. Place has been outdated for well over a decade now...

This is far from a perfect example. Roger Rabbit may not be "in" to younger generations but it doesn't need to be.

Toontown remains popular because it features characters (ones that are iconographically synonymous with Disney) that have transcended decades and it contains a substantial dark ride that is decidedly themed to Roger Rabbit in the same vain as the ones found in Fantasyland.

Popular still, even though many of the land's original features have been removed/compromised entirely. (Jolly Trolly, Goofy's Bounce House and Chip n' Dale's Acorn Pit.)

The Roger Rabbit franchise notwithstanding, the land deserves to be re-imagined let alone, as it stands now, leaves a lot to be desired but it doesn't suffer what you define as "outdated".

And how is that different from Pixar Pier then? Everything you literally just described is also in this area as well now.

And I meant outdated in the sense few people under 20 knows who Roger Rabbit and Gadget are. Can anyone tell me when was the last time either of these two has been in any Disney cartoons or media? And they are the only ones that have actual rides.

I guess in a way this is kind of my point lol. In 20 years people will make the exact same argument for Pixar Pier. I know because they made the exact same argument for ABL as well before Disney finally decided to tear that down. The problem with TT is exactly what you said, they've only taken away things from that land. They haven't added anything to it in literally decades.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want TT to get razed or anything but let's also be honest, if there was one land in DL people had to get rid of to include something new, my guess is this one will be the highest on the list and for good reason.

I guess what I'm saying is unless this 'trend' turns into a full on dud where it stops people from going on these rides and lands will stay as long as Disney wants them to. There doesn't seem to be any set standard to any of it.

Twilight Zone is timeless. Its themes transcend generations.

Guardians of the Galaxy is a meme movie.
Bad timing on disney's part, or maybe really good timing, because they're remaking it. I say bad timing because it's being done by the guy who made the movie get out, but it could be good timing because since it's not an IP they don't own, NBC can raise the price by a ton due to such big name talent working on it.

CBS, not NBC. You are also assuming that the contract allows for such changes in licensing fees.

It did but clearly not enough people care today.

GOTG is a fun and entertaining franchise. Of course you don't have to like it but many many people do. And they were great in Infinity War.
