How can you say that? it's not a corporate soulless slop as many DLers suggest.

Well, I can say that because I've been to every Disney theme park on the planet and found DL, TDL, DLP, HKDL and SDL to be more enjoyable than MK. MK has its positives for sure - PeopleMover, Liberty Square (Muppets!), HEA, I'm sure there are more. I don't find MK to be corporate soulless slop, even though DL is my home park. But I don't find it to be stronger overall than any of the other castle parks worldwide.

I’ve never been to WDW, but this seems off. Animal Kingdom is the only full day park? Are you excluding attractions we already have here?

I said Epcot is the only full day park.

MK is like Disneyland Lite, but since it is so empty, you get everything done really quickly. We even did little things I'd never do at DL like The Peoplemover, Lilly Belle, and Autopia. The only wait we had was for Winnie the Pooh (20 minutes) and Seven Dwarves Mine Train (20 min with fastpass). We got there at opening and were done by 3, easily.

Disney Studios is obviously a 1/2 day part at best. The same shows that have been there for over a decade and a few attractions. We did them all, even Muppets and Star Tours and still had plenty of time to kill waiting for Fantasmic. Longest wait was TSMM at around 45 minutes. (no Mr Potato Head btw).

DAK was the worst with so many exhibits closed and trails blocked off. Kali River Rapids makes Bigfoot Rapids seem complex and it was sad to see all of the effects are removed from the Safari. We saw the shows, for better or for worse and even did all of Dinoland. I couldn't believe Festival of the Lion King was just the parade floats in a a big warehouse. Everest was okay, but after the 5th time, we decided to head out instead of waiting another 4 hours until The Jungle Book light show. Longest wait was Safaris at 15 minutes.

Epcot was the one park we found ourselves rushing to get through. I'm sure the 90 minute wait for Frozen Ever After didn't hurt, nor did the 45 minute Ellen's Energy Adventure; but it was a nice full day.

Things like the gutting of Main Street to sell more plush, Toad closing for Pooh, the closure of the canoes, the Main St. Vehicles operating so infrequently, making people wait in line for nearly all character encounters, the sub lagoon being filled in, Space Mtn. getting a half-baked overhaul... Stuff like that. DL's suffered its own share of greedy, charm-reducing decisions, but it hasn't been hit so hard...yet (though many call the addition of SWGE a terrible step in that direction). MK's certainly not slop, and it's a beautiful park with great rides, but of the existing Castle parks, it's definitely (currently) the one that's suffered the most from blander-izing corporate decisions

For me, what makes MK is it's grand while still having charm. I think SDL and DL the most (haven't been to HK or Paris). TDL for me feels weird. The pathways are bland and attractions like Dumbo for example have yet to be updated.

What’s HEA?

Compared the two here and the one in Europe (I haven't been to HKDL or SDL) I found TDL to be the most soulless and corporate MK park. The copy and pastes from DL and WDW kind of left me cold. Don't get me wrong, it's nice, but not worth traveling thousands of miles to see if you've done the US MK parks IMO.

Perhaps coincidentally, a rumor popped up earlier today about it going seasonal. But right now it's year-round and always has been.

Pooh replaced CBJ at DL and is also longer with better scenes than Toad. Main Street vehicles run until noon, only 3 hours less than DL I believe. The lagoon was replaced with two attractions and have their own water features. Lines are necessary for meet and greets at WDW, Atleast they have nice waiting areas.
It's also the only DL style park (along with TDL) without a land devoted to one franchise (no Storybook circus isn't a land)

From what I heard it is. TDO can't afford the performers. They have executive year end bonuses to hand out.
Someone read a Yahoo article and thought it was true. As of now it isn't.

Just giving a few reasons why so many people consider MK to be more "corporate." For me, it's the gutting of Main St. that really sets the scene. MK's still a great park, though, and it has the better Splash Mtn.

And please don't mention DL losing the Bears to Pooh... it still hurts.

Yes, EPCOT. Sorry about that.

Well sure... if you treat the parks like you're on Amazing Race, you can make almost any of them half day parks. How you decide to pace yourself and enjoy your time can make a world of difference at any of them.

Both Pooh rides are pretty awful IMO and neither of them is worth more than a 5 min wait. Luckily at DL that's about all we ever have (w/ exception of busy holiday times). I often wait longer in MK's FP line! Sadly, California audiences didn't embrace CBJ in the same way WDW guests do. It also didn't help that they built an entire second theater out here which was totally unnecessary and a waste of space. :(

Agreed. I don't hold TDL in the same rarified air as most do (even though it is my avatar.) It has a great attraction lineup and Disney Sea is next door, but it lacks unique character the other castle parks have.
