Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway - Disneyland

I wouldn't wait more than 5 minutes for Toad. Well, maybe 10.

Honestly, I think the allure of our Mr. Toad is due largely in part to the fact that WDW had theirs taken away and it's the only one in existence. The WDW version was far superior to ours with its dual-track layout and two different ride experiences. It's a fun classic/original ride, sure, but it's really only slightly better than a carnival dark ride compared to the other FL attractions. Had it not been for the big outcry over WDW's in the late 90s I wonder if ours would still be around today...

Disney fans will stand in long lines for almost anything. Doesn't prove that what they're waiting for is worth my time.
Sometimes the bathrooms have long lines too ;)

HMH is awful mostly due to its length of operation. It functions as a two-season overlay when it should only be one.
What they SHOULD do is figure out a way to make a "more haunted" mansion for Halloween, then do NBC for Christmas.
I hate saying goodbye to classic HM in August.

I think many fans feel their efforts would be fruitless now. Mr. Toad's Wild Ride's closure happened before that. Where were the pictures of Star Lord killing Rod Serling? Where were the picketers? Where were the T-shirts? But the public's response may have ultimately helped save one version of each of those rides. I don't think it's fruitless.

Worth your time? That's up to you. Obviously, many find HMH worth their time as it has routinely drawn huge crowds since day 1. I love it. It wouldn't feel like Halloween if our favorite mansion didn't get decked out in spooky candles, jack o lanterns, and a darker faster-paced structure.

We get Mansion Jan-Aug and HMH Sept-Dec. Its a perfect situation.

There's no definitive right or wrong here, only opinions. In MY opinion it's better to let The Haunted Mansion be The Haunted Mansion experience year-round as other Magic Kingdoms do. If The Nightmare Before Christmas HMH is so popular then Disney ought to give it a separate attraction.

Makes no sense to make it a stand alone attraction at this point. Why pay money building a new attraction when you already have one built? I'd love a NBC attraction, but it doesn't make financial sense. They can merely install what they currently have, spend no money, and fans get their fix for 4 months a year. Plus it gives the locals a layover, which they love. Locals are a big factor to why WDW and DLP don't get layovers, as they sell more to tourists. Tokyo Disney which has a fair amount of local support, sees a layover as we have.

All valid points, but I still hate HMH.

Since you always want to talk about WDW in the DLR forum (for whatever reason), how about creating a thread in its multiple dedicated sub-forums? @GrandCanyonConcourse Same for you. Take it elsewhere.

We're all just having fun. I don't know why it bothers you so much. It's not like there's been any recent news about MMRR at Disneyland. Are you the moderator? If not, then stop trying to control everybody.

Who is “everybody?” I’m not trying to control you or anyone, so step with that...

I’m not saying you shouldn’t talk about WDW. However, you should talk about it in the WDW forum. You always talk about WDW in the DLR forum, and it doesn’t make any sense.

Have your fun in the appropriate forum.
