Can I only make FP+ reservations when I get to the park? (once I scan in?) I'm not planning to be at a park until then, and Disney just cancelled the FP+s I had scheduled between 4-6.

There are no fp+ entitlements with party media. If you're there tonight, see you real soon!
I’ll be there in exactly 5 weeks! I was pretty surprised at first to see that I was able to schedule FP+ for that day, so I’m not totally surprised that they cancelled my FP+ for my third park day.

Have fun tonight!!

I heard that last night's party was sold out, just so everyone knows. So that makes TWO MNSSHPs that are sold out - 8/17, and 9/14.

We went last night - was a madhouse from 8-12. But most rides were walk-on or under 10 mins from around 5-7. It was my first MNSSHP and I’ve gotta say, there’s just a more well-rounded feel to the Christmas parties. Can’t put my finger on it just yet - Hocus Pocus and SM in complete darkness were great, but honestly they were the only standouts of the whole night.

Hmm..I wonder if this is a recent change, as I was able to make FP+ reservations for two attractions between 4 and 6 with my Party ticket.
I used one, skipped the other.

I did it in advance online, the day my Party ticket arrived in the mail in mid-August.
Party I attended and used them for was this past Sunday, the 9th.
I didn't bother attempting to make FP+ arrangements on Tuesday as that was a last minute decision to attend.

Updates I'd like to see:

1. higher rez projection mapping projections for Hocus Pocus and Hallowishes
2. move the high-demand M&Gs to take over Mickey's, Tink's, and the Princesses' meeting places so that you can have one-lobby many-rooms access
3. nix the inexplicable Halloween Hoedown float and dancers and replace with Monsters Inc
The hoedown is not inexplicable. Simply put, each land in the park is represented by the parade topics. We love the Harvest Hoedown, it’s fun without being whacky and resonates with the southern side of Frontierland.

Well... The South isn't The Frontier to begin with. ;)

And how is Tomorrowland or Main Street represented?

And what is the chicken in the tower?

We have park hoppers for the same day we have MNSSHP tix. If we are in MK before 4 o'clock do we have to exit the park and get in line to get wristbands for the party or is there somewhere inside the park we could show we have tix to MNSSHP and get the wristbands?

There are numerous locations in the park. Ask a CM, I believe one location is near Pirates/Tortuga Tavern.

Clara Cluck is considered part of the Frontierland unit. Tomorrowland has an audio loop, but there’s no float for the unit so it’s isn’t included. Main Street is not included. In order It’s: Fantasyland, Adventureland, Liberty Square, Frontierland, candy, villains.

Good questions, not sure about Main Street.

Tomorrowland, I would say that since the Monsters Inc attraction is in Tomorrowland I would assume that WreckIt Ralph would also be Tomorrowland. That gives some slim representation. Would be even better if the Monsters and Boo were there ahead of the Ralph float.

As for the chicken, I think she appears with the Barn Team from Frontierland. I could do without her, maybe the coyote could catch her or something.

So we went to one in August and I would definitely do it again. Awesome parades. Fireworks COMPLETELY lit up Fantasyland. Don’t worry about FP+, every ride was 20 or under. The only complaints/advice I can give are to focus on the characters you REALLY want to meet. Most are 45-60 minutes (Capt. Jack Sparrow and Stitch). Heard Moana was close to 2 hours. Haunted Mansion employs a fog machine that was overused or broken. (I have a sensitive sniffer to that kind of stuff. Don’t judge me) Other than those to minuscule concerns. It was AWESOME! My younger DS insisted and we went on PotC 4 times. My DW and older DS went on Space Mountain which they really liked. Splash Mountain and 7DMT were done multiple times just because. We aren’t even in to candy, but it was definitely worth it. My DW says her only complaint was they didn’t have more Hocus Pocus themed merchandise.
