Why doesn't WDW get permanent parade lighting instead of having to install temporary ones every year..
Main Street and the Hub have permanent lighting installed although I’m surprised they haven’t made the Frontierland and Liberty Square lighting permanent yet since it’s now up five months of the year.

Main Street has those white fog lights not LED's like the hub

I disagree. Good or not why SHOULD a parade run for 15-20 years? Maybe I'd be more for it if they added new floats or did something different besides minor changes. The parade IS great. I love it. But we should all want them to keep updating it if you want the same show or parade around for 20 years. Some things absolutely can last a long time but I argue there needs to be solid updates over the years. No a whole new parade probably isn't necessary.

I feel like I'm living in a bizarro world where it's wrong to want something to be better? Or updated? Kept fresh? Why do we always settle for what we've come to know?

There has been additions, whole units in fact, as well as updates and changes.

HOT TAKE: demand for Jack/Sally, Dwarfs, Moana, etc would be manageable if those characters were available regularly. DLR has Jack/Sally out every day from the start of HalloweenTime until the end of Christmas. The dwarfs used to hang out in Germany on the daily, they could again. Moana could easily have a permanent meet somewhere on property.

WDW brings these insane character queues on themselves.

It's a huge pull for them to have them out only at parties, regardless of wait times, definitely a part of why many people decided to hit up MNSSHP and MVMCP year after year. Even multiple parties a year even.

What have they added? Honest question.

I don't count swapping characters or putting Pan on the ground and Jack in the pirate ship. Little things are nice and add up but I'm talking brand new floats and updated costumes. I'm aware Clarabelle just got a new outfit.
The flag corp is the only thing of note in the last ten years I can think of

Anyone have input on what the crowds are usually like on Halloween Night at MNSS? Every time Ive gone it's been late Sept or early October and its always been packed to the gills. Im assuming the same is true on Halloween Night, but Ive been told HHN is actually NOT too busy on Halloween... Trying to decide between the two parties for Halloween night.

I have always heard from folks over the years that the Halloween night party is usually very busy and usually sold out.
So that is capacity crowds for whatever official number of Party tickets per that night have been sold.

It is also the most expensive Party night.
You will pay more attending that particular night then any other if I read the chart right earlier this year.

It's up to you, really.
If you really want to be there 'on the ACTUAL night' then go for it!

We opted not to go to Universal at all for this trip and spent the extra money for MNSS on Halloween Night. I am wondering though - Is the premium in place just because of demand? Or do they do something different on Halloween night?

Unique Halloween: Parade, Fireworks, Castle show (which is excellent), desserts, pin, Sorcerer card, merch, M&Gs, dance party. Plus free candy if you go to the trick or treat spots. Plus the fun of a lot of folks dressed up in costume.

Meanwhile others Disney Parks gets either a new parade or brand new Halloween related show every couple or years or sometimes two to three years. Such as Hong Kong Disneyland's latest show "Villains Night Show" that features Disney Villains.

Party guests can enter at 4pm. Rides are open the entire time, but they'll check your party wristband beginning at 6pm and won't let non-party guests on after that time.
Thanks; this is my first time going and wasn’t sure how all of this worked out with locations and times.

WHAT the heck was that!
A PR stunt by Disney for their live stream or the parks blog, I'm guessing. It's a shame that they do "special" one off things like this when I'm sure there's a certain number of guests who would love to see this every party

Actually, they won't let you into the park for the Halloween party unless you do the Vampirina dance.

Remember, Vampirina is just like us... blue and exuding the foul stench of death.
