Halloween decorations before Labor Day though...it's a bit much IMO and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Halloween!! Will be going to the party myself this year, but in October. But, what's good for some is bad for others and what's bad for others is good for some I guess.

When will WDW ever retire the Boo To You Parade with a brand new Halloween parade like Disneyland just gotten two years ago?

WDWMagic just posted the August 2018 schedule that confirms all I said--Festival of Fantasy moves to 2 pm as of 8/19, MNSSHP held 8/24, 8/28, 8/31.
Wouldn't be surprised to see MK boosting hours (8am-6pm) during MNSSHP nights. They did it for all MVMCP nights in 2017.

Boo to You, Hallo Wishes & Holiday wishes need to go. With the cost of these parties skyrocketing, there’s no reason not to replace these seasonal offerings.

Last year was my first ever MNSSHP, how long has Boo To You (and you and you and you!) been running in its current form?

Around 2005 or 2006. I think this is the second incanration of the parade since the early days of MNSSHP had a different atmosphere same with the parade.

I just saw on this thread that they will be closing the MK at 6 pm now for mnsshp? For those of us that vacation at that time (4months!) It really puts a damper on the time we can spend at the park. We loose out on a lot of time. A couple times a week would be OK but half the days is just too much. I cant justify an extra $700+ for us to attend when we`ve already dished out thousands for regular tickets. This isnt fair to the other Disney visitors.

It's not really a change for you since they will open up at 8 am as compensation. Instead of 9-7, you get 8-6.

Or go the other three days of the week.

Sounds more like you don't like the concept of the parties and their prevalence, which is a fair (though not new) concern.

Park closes at 6 now instead of 9, 10 or later. One hour in the morning doesn't make up for it. Guess I'm not a fan of paying for shorter hours.

The Magic Kingdom is packed on the non party nights. Park hopper is a nice option.

It never closed at 9 or 10 nightly that time of year. Now it is routinely open until 11 or 12 on non-party nights. It used to be 9-7 or 9-8 daily in the fall.
