Question about the actors (butler and the lady) on HM's front lawn: are those former Adventurer Club actors? I feel like I read somewhere that they were. They seem to have the same style the AC crew did.

They justify it by it being sold out every year no matter what date they choose. Not saying it’s right, wrong, or indifferent, but that’s the reason.

Only the first one has sold out so far. Last year I think only 4 or 5 parties actually sold out, with Halloween night being the only one to sell out in advance.

I seriously do not understand how they can justify doing the Halloween party nights in August, except for the most cynical money grab ever. Because nothing says Halloween better than dripping in sweat on a 9000 degree August night.
Obviously guests visiting in late August are interested in the Halloween Party, otherwise it wouldn’t be sold out regardless of media and comps.

Perhaps TDO will implement better and more significant changes to MNSSHP during the 50th. It would be nice to see a WDW that pull out all the stops for 2021 rather than a WDW that is trying to squeeze out the biggest profit margin possible.

That would indeed be nice.

I recall hearing of some problems partygoers had getting through airport security screening at MCO with their hauls of Halloween Party candy last year.
The impression I was getting at the time was the airport had stepped up it's screening procedures and if you were bringing any amount of candy goodness with you in your carry on items you were subject to a longer processing.

I would enjoy hearing more about this, as I always do carry on and prefer not to do checked bags.
I'm planning to attend one of the HalloParties while in town within a couple of weeks and I am curious about others experiences.

False. Many nights sold out day of the actual event. And most were very close.

For some reason they were not reported here. I went the last week of September 2017 and that week they all sold out but one.

I’m honestly sick of hearing the complaints. Do I like the early parties? Heck no. But the complaints are getting to be worse. They are making mega bucks with the parties. Period.

How do we know most were close to selling out? Either they announce it sold out or they don't.

As for why the complaints are worse, maybe Disney has increased how many tickets they sell?

They didn’t announce either party as being sold out last year when I was there. We didn’t find out until we got to the gates. We had to push the party to 9/29.

And I am talking about people complaining about the August parties. Get over it. Don’t go. They are making money.
