Meerkats no longer in Pangani Forest

I had heard they were doing some refurbs on their habitat but I also remember that they didn't do very well in cold temperatures.

Pardon my 6 month thread bump but I wasn't able to see Pangani last visit and I've yet to hear of any update on this exhibit. Any information? Anyone? Anyone?.......

I love the flamingos that show up on the safari ride sometimes. I laughed when our driver once pointed them out, saying that they were native to Florida, and that he was not exactly sure how they got here to Africa, but that they were a special treat to notice.

Also the "falling bridge" effect was working again.

The bridge was down over the weekend (June 23), so that's good to hear.

Rumor has it that the meerkats are going to be replaced with... disco meerkats.

Meerkats were there in January, I've got someone heading to DAK tomorrow so if anything has changed I'll have an update.
