Another thing to consider is that if any of the "bad CMs" you've encountered are college students, they probably are tired and irritated. They give us bad hours (try being scheduled 64.4 hours in one week in your first week on your own), they give us LONG hours (15 hour days). Sometimes, we don't get home until 4 am FROM WORK. And then they skimp us on turnaround by 12 minutes.
We also get paid very little. Standard CPs get $6.25/hour, performance CMs ("friends with" CMs) get $6.40/hour, and Quick Service food and beverage get $6.75/hour. Then, before we even see the money, we have $71-81 a week taken out of our paychecks. We also have taxes taken out. And then groceries. By the end of that paycheck, all that money that we've earned...ends up being about $50-$75
And you wonder why we're bitter. But don't get me wrong- I love my job. I really do. It's just that Disney really doesn't treat CPs well, and doesn't pay them well. But if you find a CP that loves their job, you're going to see that they have high aspirations within the company (I want to be the president of one of the parks...And Al Weiss started as custodial...so maybe I could do that...you never know!)
