I don't care what side of the fence they are on either. Actors shouldn't be a detriment to their own movie. It's especially bad during press junkets and interviews. When they are supposed to be advertising their movie (or whatever) and bring something up randomly for no reason.

You absolutely, indisputably care about what side of the fence they are on or you’d be excoriating the writer with a hugely prominent franchise with a film series, multiple theme park lands, and upcoming mega TV series who has made being a political activist her primary profession and not focusing only on the actor who criticized her.

Unfortunately it's really not something that can be talked about in depth here. That said, they can have any opinions they want, that's their right. But it should be no surprise when large groups want nothing to do with what you're selling. For better or worse, that's the way it can go.

Words have meaning. You choose how you frame issues. For instance, when you write "say and do dumb things and people might not like you," are you talking about Pascal not liking Rowling because she said and did "dumb things?" It doesn't seem that you are, because you're defining "dumb things" based on a specific set of ideological assumptions you try to hide behind a mask of "common sense." You're also pretending that "people" simply react to the "dumb things" in a vacuum without the intervention of a massive and powerful propaganda network framing the statements in terms designed to evoke very specific reactions because the existence of that network is inconvenient to your posture as a "simple," "common sense" truth teller.

Speaking of The Fantastic 4, it looks like it managed to tie Superman and the new Jurassic Park/Jurassic World movie for biggest awareness on the charts of Quorum.

Looks like the new trailer from last week plus something else related to it in a certain MCU movie coming out next week, helped give it the shot in the arm it needed.

Maybe my prediction of The Fantastic Four making a billion worldwide will come true after all.

James Gunn, his Man of Steel, and the dinosaurs had better watch their backs in 3 months from now.

I’m cautiously optimistic, guarded/wary but this represents the first Marvel movie I’m going to see in theater in quite some time. Since Endgame I just wait for Disney+
