Marvel's Fantastic Four

Maybe people should think before posting.

Fantastic Four has had at least 5 different movies and various cartoons already. If you don't know what The Thing sounds like than you should do your homework. Instead of making a comment that makes you look bad.
Oh, I was definitely thinking when I posted.

I think Ben’s voice is perfect as it reminds us that he is still human beneath his rocky exterior. Is it possible that they change his voice in post-production? Absolutely, but if Marvel doesn’t, I’m not going to complain.

Pedro isn't known for smart guy roles. He doesn't feel geeky like Ioan Gruffudd did previously. Let's face it, the Mandalorian isn't the bright bulb in the pack.

Shalla-Bal isn't terrible looking. Hopefully they get all the reflections right.

The only problem I have right now with the new trailer... is Female Silver Surfer.

Norrin Radd is the Silver Surfer, so he should have been the first version shown in the MCU, not his former wife. Just like Peter Parker is the first Spiderman and Steve Rogers is the first Captain America. You don't just jump to Miles Morales or Bucky.
As this is purposely not an origin story they didn't need to introduce Norrin since that story was already told in previous movies. No reason to rehash something already done.

Additionally this is an alternate universe. As such this could easily not be the main silver surfer so if you’re really that upset about this @MickeyMouse10 they could introduce norin rad after secret wars.

I would hope they wouldn't try to retell the Galactus story again post-Secret Wars, and since Norrin is mostly tied to Galactus in the comics if he is gone then no need to have Norrin in the future.

As Shalla-Bal (the female surfer) is Norrin's wife in the comics who takes over for Norrin when he is killed, I have to assume (absent of any other explanation at this time) that Norrin existed at some point in this universe but was killed prior to Galactus getting to this version of Earth with F4.

Excellent point. I’m just pointing out one possible outcome.

Isn't this alternate Earth destroyed and they escape to MCU's Earth during the present day? That is why they weren't around for Thanos and no one has heard of them before.

That is the running theory. It’s unknown if this version of the silver surfer will be joining them.

From what I'm hearing the female one stays to serve Galactus. She does her job and lets her master chow down. We might see the male one in another movie. It's interesting they are letting Galactus scale up and down.

There was another Silver Surfer in the comics who was Norrin Radd’s wife, Shalla Bal.

Which is who this character is.

She’s not a female Silver Surfer, she’s Shalla Bal/Silver Surfer as she was in the comics.

Disney's has to stop making Phase 4 and 5 styled decisions. Because Doom will be more than just the villain in the next Avengers movie. Fantastic 4 is going to make a lot of money, but it could have easily been an over 1 billion dollar movie.

With their stupid ideas thrown into it though... who knows. They just have to stop getting in their own way and be more loyal to the source (Marvel, Little Mermaid, Snow White). There is a reason people love the originals, quit modern daying them.
Except it will be a billion dollar movie because of how big its first trailer was in the first 24 hours (202 million views globally) to make it the 10th biggest movie trailer ever, that it’s the one MCU film of 2025 that feels like a legit event, because it will give them the Fantastic 4 movie that Fox could never make, and because it’s the last movie before the next Avengers movie, which it will lead into with that last end credits scene bringing in Robert Downey Jr’s Doctor Doom, according to Jeff Sneider.

@MickeyMouse10 is right. Marvel is in a free fall right now and they better get this right. What is the purpose to show off a female Silver Surfer? Does Disney not care what the fans will think? This character is pretty much non existent in the comic books, period. Studios are bleeding money including merchandising so yeah, I thinks fans should tell the studios how make a film because they simply suck right now.

I have no reason to think the film will be a flop of any sort. But there is a chance it's not a billion plus film. If this film has great reception out of the gate, it should make it.
Maybe you should just stop telling studios what to do and just let the people who know how to make the movie make the movie their way.
To be fair, phase 4 & 5 are mostly mediocre with more than a few bad. There's 3 legitimate really good movies in there. Spider-Man no way home, guardians 3 and Deadpool. So with their recent track record, I don't think it's that unreasonable to question their way.

Oh it will have great reception alright, since this film, unlike Brave New World, has had no behind the scenes drama, only a day of pickup shoots/reshoots/retakes like Deadpool & Wolverine, and is said to be a film that Marvel Studios and Disney have a lot of faith in like Thunderbolts*.

So, despite a couple comments people still misunderstand about Sue and Johnny Storm and lacking an understanding that Silver Surfer is not being gender-bent, this film will turn out very strong and WILL make a billion.

Also, Shang-Chi and Wakanda Forever were good movies too.

The only mediocre/bad stuff in Phases 4 and 5 are The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Black Widow, Eternals (which I personally feel was over-hated and under-appreciated), Thor: Love and Thunder, She-Hulk, Quantumania, Secret Invasion, The Marvels, and Captain America: Brave New World.
