Marvel teases a Journey into Imagination comic

I'd love to see Imagination! back to form. What IF we simple took the concept and mechanics of Mystic Manor, replace Old guy with Dreamfinder, replace monkey with Figment, and BLAM! new Imagination attraction.
I picture the Dreamcatcher's tank full, we ride along into the Dreamatcher's mansion, and Figment messes up unloading the tank into the Dreamanalyzer (steampunk machine) and all the dreams escape....
Finally Figment with some help from the riders (using some of the spin rangers tech), catches the dreams and some happy ending happens, Dreamfinder peeks in and all is ok...

*corrected*
Phantom Manor is Haunted Mansion, and Mystic Manor is the HK one.

Fun Fact the Molds of the dead characters in Phantom Canyon were reused molds from Epcot's World of Motion and Especially the Mayor who is none other than Dreamfinder who removes his head and uses the audio of Paul Frees's ghost host..

Just wanted to bring up an update here about the pavilion since I've been here.. After you exit the ride and walk down the hallway Figment's foot prints were removed as you Head toward to Imageworks.

All of Figment 2 comics are still here including BTM Comic, plus both hard bound Figment and Seekers of the Weird are still being sold. A new purple porcelain Figment is for sale..No other new Merchandise has been released.

The outside section is just a disgrace as many water features including where the Figment topiary once stood doesn't spout water. But, you can hear the pumps for it hoping to get anything out of them.

One other interesting thing I noticed is that the former Figment's Place M&G location has been gutted out...The little queue section was removed. However the Spaceship Earth with Figment's name is still up including the artwork on the walls..Not sure what is planned but, it would be a better spot for Figment Merchandise if that was a plan.

Yeah, that spot used to be a Kodak camera shop back in the day...that also sold some Figment related merchandise.
If the Pavilion gets refreshed it would be nice to see the merch move back over to that space, but i have doubts Marketing would 'allow' that.
Today's Disney likes to have those 'gift shops' at the ride exits...ya know...
:depressed:

Regarding the comic series, hope everyone enjoyed the conclusion.
The last page, with a large full page image, was a nice touch for us long term 'JII' fans.

It would be nice if the series is extended....'Figment 3' , anyone....?

I can't wait to get a graphic novel for the second one in the future.

It started with Pirates, didn't it?
Museum of the Weird is what they started on.

Not sure if this has been posted already or not, but Marvel announced (in December) that the next in the "Disney Kingdoms" lineup would be The Haunted Mansion, releasing in March (which probably means April or May). http://marvel.com/news/comics/25522/unlock_the_doors_to_the_haunted_mansion
And we got TIki Room coming in October

So did Figment 2" gain a single volume release like the first one did yet?
Yup, like two months ago.

Like to visit local comic shops on vacation, being a long time collector how far back does their back issue bins go? Like to find early Marvel / Disney ( beauty and beast)(humpback) etc.

Is it sad that this was my first impression of Figment back when I first seen Journey Into Imagination with Figment years ago?

Nope i felt the same way

Naw, JIIWF Figment is far too aggressive to be Barney, who'd just hug everyone to death. Besides, the consistent complaint about Figment's current characterization is that he's gotten too Bugs Bunny-ish.
