"The ongoing writers strike has caused Marvel Studios to delay production on a second feature. A few weeks after the studio decided to press pause on Blade, Marvel has opted to hold off on filming for Thunderbolts, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

The hope is to begin production after the strike, which has also caused Marvel to stop filming on the TV series Wonder Man. Deadline first reported the news."

Marvel Studios' Thunderbolts has been delayed until December 20, 2024.
Makes sense given Avatar 3's delay to 2025, Disney needs something for the Christmas box office season. Looks like its the only major blockbuster style action film in that month too - at the moment at least

"Geraldine Viswanathan is set to join Marvel Studios Thunderbolts pic as she replaces Ayo Edebiri, who is departing the project due to scheduling after production was delayed due the dual WGA and SAG AFTRA srikes last year. Viswanathan is the second recent addition after the film added Lewis Pullman to step in for Steven Yeun, who departed for similar scheduling reasons as Edebiri.

Marvel had no comment."

She was good in The Beanie Bubble so I'll look forward to seeing what she does here.
