Marvel Land at DCA. Your thoughts...

But isn't that what's happening? I'm just going off of all the WDW/ Micechat runors. My point was just that we were all debating what a Marvel land would/ should/ could look like and then it hit me that there isn't much room back there. I think the "look" of the land is not the priority for this expansion. I think it's secondary to all of the things I mentioned above. I mean if the E ticket show/ ride building and Meet and greet area/ building are taking up the the whole land what are we really taking about. A couple of facades themed to a city?

How much room is there back there? 7 acres maybe?

I'm not sure. I was under the impression that was about 5 or 6 acres.

The only way to expand more if the company buys the Candy Cane Inn.(the hotel behind Cars Land)

Well sure, but aside from the desire to drive revenue isn't there another equally important purpose for a Marvel experience? I mean you could easily describe everything at DL in the same lazy way.

NOS is themed to a major US city and is one of the smallest sections of DL. Also remember that ToT is rumored to become a part of this land, and the area occupied by A Bugs Land may be annexed as well. Don't fret, it'll all be fine. I hope. ;)

I just hope that it fits the theme however they plan on integrating it. The original rumor of it being a su land of Hollywoodland called "Marvel Studios" seems kind of lazy to me, although I don't know how else they would put them in the park. I guess Captain America fits as far as the era as well as parts of Iron Man. The current season of Agent Carter also takes place in 1940's Los Angeles.

Monsters is a solid dark ride, so it should be moved. I don't know where.

I remember seeing a post a while ago that said the facade could be changed to resemble the set of a B movie monster film if they planned on keeping it. I think that would be fitting.

Well of course there are other reasons. Just the fact that I said "Marvel E ticket" means that I believe they plan to build a quality attraction.

I've chosen to block out the TOT rumors for now until it is officially announced. Haha. As much as I hate bugs land I would not want to lose it for an expanded Marvel land. I've always liked the theming of the land and I would hate to lose a lush, creative environment for more Marvel theming. Whatever that looks like.

EDIT: I wouldn't mind Tuck N Roll being bulldozed for a path to Marvel Land though.

I'm sure the Candy Cane Inn will eventually disappear. I wouldn't be surprised if Disney didn't already own it.

I don't know. Remember when DCA was built, the major power lines that cut across the old parking lot were re-routed (at what I presume was not an insignificant cost) to the perimeter of what would be the new park. This included overflow parking, which was earmarked for future expansion. The specific path that the lines were run makes me believe that property outside those lines will not be used for theme park expansion.

just for clarification is this still supposed to be a subland of Hollywoodland or its own thing because thats a lot of space. Maybe it could be a subland of a larger land that coincides more with the theme of the park? Having a random Marvel land doesn't really make much sense to me, especially after they just put so much effort into the park.

I don't think anyone knows for certain at this point. We're mostly playing around with ideas based on a rumor about some kind of Marvel add-on to DCA.

They could make Hollywoodland more like old DHS, where it's like a studio. Then it would make sense, because they could be filming them in Hollywood.
