He deleted his original account possibly due to being flooded with messages about Buzzy and the claims. He disabled that feature on his new account. Lately he’s been talking about the state of his mental health and how he was thinking about just straight up quitting online. Thankfully some people like @Goaway Green have helped him out and he is doing better now.

Hoot is a guy who definitely bought into his own hype. Probably was not expecting law enforcement to actually check up on his tall tales.

Or another person blindly following the lead of someone... and putting their full faith in them to make their words their own. Not a good thing... but common when people don't want to admit the information is second hand.

all leads have to be followed up. no different than if someone called in with a tip.
If that were true, many police departments would go broke following up on conspiracy theories and have their own dedicated task force for dealing with twitter.

He actually got suspended on his original account for threatening someone over the Jungle Cruise.

This really makes disney security look terrible. No wonder they didn't report it. No locks or cameras? No record of who was there? In a room containing something they value at $500k?

Yet another reason Disney wouldn't want this incident broadcast. A couple wigs or dresses that are easily stuffed in a backpack are one thing. An entire animatronic looks like incompetence.

I'm going to get angry replies for this, but what the hell.

I think this is a prime example of why the Disney fan community needs to be more careful about who they accept as an "insider."

I know this board is very defensive of its own insiders, but Hoot's claims about Buzzy were believed by people on here and on social media simply by nature of his reputation. The Orlando Rising guy even mentioned that Orlando Weekly quoted him as an expert on the Buzzy thing.

If you become conditioned to accept this supposedly inside information as fact, it's very easy for someone with no actual source (like Hoot, apparently) to spread a lot of nonsense. Just be careful who and what you believe.
"Insiders" always impart a tremendous bias in all the information they report on these forums. They often throw shade on TWDC because they think the company has not grown in the way they perceive that Uncle Walt would have wanted. And they tend to open old wounds by complaining about the demise of Horizons and other old attractions. Insiders attempt to steer and influence public opinion by providing a healthy dose of their own personal opinions while attempting to pass those opinions on as fact. Spirit was legendary in this regard.

Ok I didn’t know about the Jungle Cruise comment incident.

I'm confused....how do these pics depict the "aftermath" of Buzzy being stolen? The AA is IN the pic.

The AA isn’t in the first pic however. I’m implying that if the chair was still in the theatre during the theft it could have been used to get up on top of the CRT screens.

So Buzzy put up a fight?

Well Buzzy did leak fluid, I guess it was a slippery situation getting him out lol.

So you think they cut the lines and unbolted him to the point he fell on the railing and they then got him free?

Buzzy had a service lift underneath him for when he needed servicing. It seems to me like that would've been used in the heist if the perpetrator(s?) were smart. I doubt they just tried to push him over and he fell and crashed into the CRT

Knowing that he is stolen, I’m sure as dumb as the person who stole him was, they wouldn’t want to destroy him or sell his mechanical parts, as that would destroy the expensive value of buzzy, and whoever currently has him is probably hiding him in some basement somewhere. I have a strong feeling that BDD was highly involved in this theft, and hopefully his texts reveal who took buzzy, and then he can be tracked down from there.

I'm surprised that some fans have not insisted that this crime be investigated as a kidnapping.
