Parks likely to announce closure tomorrow. The conference call between the big parks are all underway waiting to make this big descision. Osceola County has apparently announced a mandatory curfew for Tomorrow(Tuesday) night from 11pm until Weds 6am.
Are you guessing / speculating or actually have knowledge?

It depends on what part you are referring to. Knowledge and experience of the meeting currently happening, yes. The parks actually interact on a weekly basis when it comes to the executive level. Things like this are sort of a quasi Mexican standoff but agreeable terms. One resort will not stay open if the others do.
Knowledge of what the storm will do? That is unfair. No one does. Also why the parks won't risk it, even gusts that the Tropical Storm force winds cause at 90 miles from the center of the storm cause are not good for the business model as it rains all day and causes damage or harm to Team Members or Guests. Not to mention the thousands of call outs because people are not wanting to risk it or prepping with their families.
Osceola County Curfew is a fact. You dont want the parks having a PR nightmare because someone got hurt, even if returning home from a late shift or driving to an early one.

Because unless there’s a U turn it’ll be bad enough to impact operations and be a safety risk as is.

(Educated guess)

It’ll come close enough to prepare for the worse and hope for the best. They need to make a call to get procedures in place and to inform cast and guests.

Tropical Storm force winds down Main Street aren’t fun. As much as Disney hopes it blows you into a gift shop.

DCL is reporting on their updates page that the Castaway Cay never sustained more than Tropical Force winds and that CMs are now back in their living quarters. Good news for the CC CMs.

Glad to hear that.

Having never been on a Disney cruise, what are the facilities on Castaway Cay like? What's the elevation? Does anybody have any photos of the building that they would have sheltered in?

After seeing that video that a Bahamian posted from his attic, with the waves crashing through the rafters, I was fearing the worst.

If the parks are to adjust operations, expected arrival of sustained tropical storm force winds is about 2PM in the attractions section of central Florida. At that point it probably means a full day shutdown.
