Putnam County being in there despite not being on the ocean coast brings up a good point: if you have lakes/rivers near you, they can and will flood given the chance and enough water. Parents live out on Lake George in a Zone B, and it wouldn't really take much rainfall at all for the water to reach their house.

And now we approach that stage of the storm where the parks are closed and guests will be hunkering down in their resorts. A word of advice for all those in this situation:

- Cast members who are there in the ride-out crews are away from their families and homes to keep you safe. Their primary objective throughout the storm and in the immediate aftermath is the safety of the guests and the property. Treat them with respect and civility throughout the entire time. They will do their very best to keep you safe and when possible offer some entertainment; treat them appropriately.
- Each guest needs to take personal responsibility for themselves throughout the storm period. You should have snacks and water or other beverages in your room to last you 1-2 days while you are bunkered down. Don't be that guest standing at the restaurant or food court ranting they don't have everything you want to eat in the middle of the storm.
- It is unreasonable to expect the resort to run a full normal operations with full and normal services during and in the immediate aftermath of the storm. Please don't be that guest berating a cast member because they can't get you something you want during the storm or some service or restaurant menu items are not available.
- If you're staying a a resort where your room door opens to outside such as most Value and Moderate resorts, stay in your room during the storm. The last thing you need is to get injured by flying debris trying to get out and about while the worst of the storm is coming through.

This is a very slow moving storm so once the conditions kick in, it's going to take a long, long time for this one to leave us and while in the Central Florida area it appears it will not be as bad as our early fears it will still be dangerous and messy and should be respected.

And Universal has decided to open as usual with the exception of the water park.
Who made the correct decision?

Just from previous posts I've seen: ppl with outdoor facing rooms ask for extra towels to put at the door.

Is it safe to assume resorts will have some restaurants open tomorrow night for hotel guests?

We’re hunkered down good in Bay Lake Tower with plenty of water and relatively tangible food, but knowing we’ll still have options for tomorrow would be nice!

I'd assume the restaurants will be open but I would definitely pre-buy snacks! That walk to Contemporary from BLT is rough in a normal bad Florida storm, I can't imagine what it'd be like in a hurricane lol
