If you go north, don't stop until you hit South Carolina, and that should be northwest South Carolina at that.

You have to go north to get south in Florida. Don't you know that? I'm going south (north). 'Cause:

If you've been following TWC, I'm the rectangular box they've labeled as: "Most Likely". Funny. 'Cause, I don't feel like a "winner". I want a refund.

Atlanta Motor Speedway opens for Hurricane Dorian evacuees

The speedway is opening its campgrounds up to evacuees like it did for Hurricane Irma and Michael

HAMPTON, Ga. — Editor's Note: The video in this story is from previous coverage when Hurricane Florence evacuees were camping at AMS.
Atlanta Motor Speedway is opening its ground to evacuees – this time for those getting out of the way of Hurricane Dorian as it continues moving towards mainland United States.
The speedway made the announcement almost an hour before Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp declared a state of emergency for 12 coastal Georgia counties. Additionally, a state of emergency has been declared for all counties in the state of Florida.

You have a rental car? Maybe you want to go to Busch Gardens Williamsburg instead of Tampa.

Be ready to hunker down. You may be able to see Universal, depending on weather. WDW will give you updates etc. Might want to become friendly with desk staff; they can help you out. Might also want to be friendly with other guests - people in the US usually develop a "we're all in this together" mentality during an emergency situation.

The Yacht Club is a very safe place to be during the storm if you can extend your stay here, you might as well. The rooms have interior hallways, making it very easy for you to get around the resort without having to go outside. If you haven't already, grab yourself some extra snacks and water for your room, incase you are stuck at the resort for a few days. Get a book or download some TV/Movies to relax with as well. The cast at the resort will make sure you are safe, so seek some comfort in that.

As far as your theme park plans, you still have today and tomorrow to enjoy those theme parks along with the usual Disney ones. By Sunday your options might be limited but looking at the forecast, I'd assume these parks might be open, but maybe for limited hours. It will be rainy and windy, but you should still be able to enjoy yourself.

Go talk to the manager at the Yatch Club. Tell them you are from a foreign country and are frankly, worried about the approaching storm. Tell them you don't know what to do. Ask to extend your stay at the resort until your planned departure. Maybe they can pair you with another guest you can talk to and will be someone to help you.

Ask if they have any brochures to give you. Pay attention to announcements on your resort TV. If you can, get an Uber to a nearby store today to get some bottles of water, flashlight, batteries and snacks. If you don't have a battery charger for your phone, get one. If you can, get cash. Loss of power means no ATM or credit card machines.

Stay indoors when instructed to do so. Close all blinds and stay away from windows...and keep your sliding door closed and locked.

Don't book anything at the other parks. The best thing right now is to hang out at Disney. Staff will make sure you'll be okay.

We'll also be here if you need support and advice.

Disney is a safe place to be if you can afford to extend your stay there. Otherwise flying or driving to Charlotte early is a good option.

You may want to try and go to a nearby store (Publix, Walmart, Target) and try to buy some supplies to get you through a couple days in your room. Some items are available at the resort and the Boardwalk if you don’t want to deal with the chaos of the stores and are okay paying a bit more. You should relatively safe in your room.

I think Disney will be okay. Wind/Power is one thing. May get some heavy rainfall. But no concern over storm surge. Just hunker down and make the best of it.

Thanks you so much for that.

Please can you explain why you advise people to buy water? Because bathrooms does not work?
