Just another example of extreme helpful information. Ask a serious question, get a sarcastic response. The very structure of News and Rumors. Don't depend on it for actually obtaining knowledge.

Typical of forums anywhere.

I love that @marni1971 has said when the hub will be finished over and over on this thread and yet people still continue to ask.
There are 302 pages of comments. Some casual WDWMagic members might not have the time to scan over all those pages for an answer and are looking for a friendly member to quickly answer the question. Was it really that big of a deal that you had to publicly callout and attempt to embarrass them? Or are you trying to prove to us how knowledgeable you are on the HUB redevelopment project..?

I see your points about how my post could be misconstrued, and I want you to know it's never my intention to embarrass anyone on these boards, and I'm sorry if I did. I was merely making an (irrelevant) observation. And as far as wanting to showboat my knowledge (or lack thereof) about anything, my understanding begins and ends at Disney World opened in 1971.

Confused. Disney parks blog posted about the new turrets, saying here's a first look... And then the photo was just the concept art of the fill hub we've already seen... Are any of them uncovered today?
can't wait for the turrets. I think it's the part I'm most interested in.

They hustled some a$$ to get the one side of the plaza finished in a day... Can someone tell me why its taking a month to do two small planters that were previously completed on the front half in only a week and a half? Im not complain (maybe a little bit) I just don't see how some things take so freaking long... wow...

Is there a master timeline thread anywhere? It would make it so much easier for us all if we had one.

My theory: There's no bonus for getting things done early. But if there's a rush at the end they get at least get a big pat on the back and told they did an amazing job.

It could be because there is a little (lot) more to the remaining work then the other sections required. What took a week was "finishing" what had been started months before.

After being at the MK today, I am appalled more than ever with all the buildings showing behind the Plaza (tomorrowland side),,this looks atrocious and ugly...are they leaving it this way?? Theres 300 some pages here so I didnt have a chance to check recent discussion, but its just downright ugly and horrible what they have done. "Show" is out the door if thats how they are leaving this. The dark red brick and black facades they have added back there stick out like a sore thumb with the rest of the Plaza still earth green on the back. Its hideous and can be seen from everywhere on that side.

It's still a work in progress (as has been seen in photos and told by those who claim to be in the know). So at this point, hopefully the backside of the Plaza is still awaiting finishing work to help camouflage it and tie everything together.

But yes, it looks awful right now. But at least it matches the equally awful appearance of the Hub! Maybe it's not as out of theme as we think...

There was still a scrim covering them as of 1 pm, so unless they removed the decorative scrims while guests were in the park this afternoon, the DPB is lying.

Don't forget to add something about FP+ causing hub construction problems or can you get a FP for the hub in general and blah blah Dole Whips and DVC stands.

I lost it at the "dole whips and DVC stands" part. It's so true.
