OMG, I LOVE MSEP, but the last time I saw it, I really thought the Patriotic bit looked bad. All things related to that aside, it made zero sense in 2019. When it debuted in '76, sure! The costumes and the dance-marching just felt like bad Vegas. And I mean BAD Vegas.

Americans cannot fathom that other people do not stan themselves the way America does, it is so embarrassing.

Send PTN to Florida! Magic Happens, MSEP, ANYTHING! Lordt, I can feel the desperation through the posts.

What kills me is some of them are saying WDW has gotten nothing for its 50th, but Disneyland, for whatever reason, gets to celebrate MSEP’s 50th, completely ignoring the fact that MSEP is Disneyland’s parade. It’s the lack of facts and delusion for me.

literally, that set of floats premiered at disneyland in june 1972 - wdw had their own set that... they sent to paris after spectromagic premiered and then paris got rid of them

so they borrowed disneyland's set and almost destroyed it like they did spectromagic before disneyland refurbed the floats in 2017

so, yeah, i don't see disneyland giving wdw any of their parades anymore after that

I’m glad I’m not the only one that feels this way about this change, ladies and gentleman, boys and girls covers everyone, gay or straight, born a certain gender or identity as a certain gender, young or old… it’s as generic as possible, as long as you identify as a human you are covered?

One of my friends is gay and we were talking about the dozen letters after lgbt (pan vs bi specifically) and he said even within subgroups people want to feel special and different, this feels like that.

Right. Why would we send our parade over there again? I really hope Disneyland never does that again, with any parade.

They need their own parades in Florida. I feel for the fans, to an extent.

Speaking of the MSEP's return, it would be the first time in history that the greetings has been changed. The new greetings will based on similar Dreamlights parade that removed "Ladies and gentlemen" November last year, as previously seen of HEA and Enchantment. (See 00:24 to 00:48 for new greeting)


The new greeting could be work for TDL Dreamlights, but its found disrespectful to see new greeting come to a "nighttime parade that started it all" (MSEP and its iteration) since 1972, eight months after WDW opened. Regardless, i would like to see the 50th logo utilized in the parade float as a tribute to the parade itself and WDW. They can using the 50th logo that WDW currently used.

On another note I’m glad to hear they are adding some new life/ IP to the ending and even suggested it on a thread a few months back. Hoping all the new songs are integrated into the soundtrack nicely. Really though as long as they don’t mess with the intro or the Alice and Pete’s Dragon sections I’m cool.

I am curious to hear the new intro. The 'Ladies and Gentleman boys and girls Disneyland proudly presents our spectacular festival pageant' intro is probably the most iconic show intro Disney's done- and changing it after 50 years is dangerous for a parade that needs a healthy dose of nostalgia to be at all watchable.

Getting rid of the American Flag float is a huge loss for the parade.

Disneyland is rooted in Americana and is often at it's best when it's offerings are at least somewhat rooted in a love for America- Lincoln, the flag retreat ceremony, etc.

I would have loved to have them bring back all of the floats that were lost over the years for the 50th, and maybe the original soundtrack.

Paint the Night is the parade that's better suited for a new finale since they abandoned the Frozen Float.

Please, god, let this parade die already. It deserves to rest.

I'm surprised and delighted at the news of the newly reimagined end float, and I think it looks great in concept art, but I wish these were additions being made to the PTN parade to really get it fleshed out and become the MSEP of our generation.

On my lunch break, I heard a commercial on the radio for these new experiences. I figured they had it planned ahead of time, but didn't expect a commercial right away. I wonder if they have commercials today on TV as well?

On the other hand, IDK why DL had to replace America with this. Just add it. DL can still build floats, MH proved that in 2020.
