Well they wont be running both PTN & MSEP, they are too broke to do that. This new addition means probably another decade of on and off MSEP runs while PTN collects dust 🤣

Kiss the old, classic, barbaric intro where they mention “ladies and gentlemen” goodbye.

On another note I’m glad to hear they are adding some new life/ IP to the ending and even suggested it on a thread a few months back. Hoping all the new songs are integrated into the soundtrack nicely. Really though as long as they don’t mess with the intro or the Alice and Pete’s Dragon sections I’m cool.

In just a few short years Disney came for my favorite ride at DCA, my favorite ride at Disneyland and favorite part of the only parade in the world that I actually enjoy and will sit through more than once.

Well Disneyland updating MSEP with a new finale unit sure doesn’t Indicate it’s retiring anytime soon. They did say it will be running for a limited time though 🤔.

It is not stated outright so I apologize if I am incorrect in my interpretation but it sounds like you would prefer the traditional phrasing.

I have a traditional gender and the phrase"Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls" has never excluded me, but it does exclude a minority of people.

Casual exclusion by traditional phrases IS HARMFUL. Changing the phrase is RESPECTFUL. Was it not Walt Disney who said, "Disneyland will never be completed."? I acknowledge that changing this phrase is disrespectful to the past, but the past was imperfect.

In matters that some have tagged as "wokeness," each person must weigh the disrespect to the past against the disrespect to the marginalized. Changes can be irritating.

Can you find the kindness to open your heart to the marginalized? Can you open your mind to accepting a more inclusive future?

I know you mean well, but trust me, you’re wasting your time. Many of the words you used in your post are triggering for some.

Open my mind to accepting who exactly? If you aren’t a lady, gentlemen, boy or girl then what the hell are you? Are we going to change our ways and tip toe around every minuscule group of peoples preferences? And do you honestly think anyone ever found that intro and felt excluded? Honestly? And if so, how many people in its 50 year history. I’m guessing it’s under 100 people (being generous) and they all happened to be offended in the last few years.

In a few years maybe the word “dreamer” will be offensive or exclusive to people who only have nightmares. Should we then change it again for those 12 people?

Sorry but everyone has lost their damn mind. I feel like I’m in a Twilight Zone episode.

It’s bad enough that they re probably changing the intro but to change it and call us “dreamers” is adding insult to injury. Probably the same writers that wrote the new script for the POTC auction scene.
