Main Street Bakery to Serve Starbucks Coffee

From those pics, I don't see one item that was from the most recent Bakery menu. Not sure if that's all they have, but none of that stuff is the same. So, unless they decided it was time to change recipes, it's safe to say it's all Starbucks.

If it walks like a Starbucks, and quacks like a Starbucks.....It's a Starbucks.

According to Disney, the Bakery will close in January 2013 with Starbucks opening in early summer. At Epcot, Fountain View will close in March 2013 and reopen as a Starbucks location in midsummer.

Sounds like it has been replaced and is a true Starbucks to me. ;)

I was being sarcastic.

It's a Starbucks, from top to bottom, just as I feared it would be.

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
Whoa.

You're passing judgement on everything without actually seeing or trying any of it firsthand?

You're claiming the rolls at Gaston's aren't the same but you're freely admitting you have not tried them yourself?

Wow..... smh....
Yes he said he had tried them as I and others did and they are different! Frankly we are not just discussing the CB as some keep saying. We are upset the bakery as a whole and what they offer has changed greatly! That's all this was about plain and simple. That cannot be argued with as from people that have gone and those of us that has seen the blogs and pictures etc. The MSB will be forever changed as many things have changed so much it's like they are lost to us that enjoyed them. Starbucks would be more welcome if it had not changed something that was extremely popular as it was. No changes were needed in our opinions. Starbucks could have gone somewhere else in MK or keep more of be bakery items that made the bAkery unique. The uniqueness is now gone. Let us mourn as we want about it being changed. :)

I didn't realize Starbucks was selling Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcakes and the like now.

The MSBakery never sold them either. That's kind of what people are upset about - The fact that the favorites we loved from the Bakery are gone. Yeah, I know, go over to Gaston's to get a cinnamon roll, it's the same thing.

Couple things. First, I took a lot of those photos that are on other websites. I know what I'm talking about on this topic.

Second, I didn't come here to praise Caesar. I came to bury him.

What do the other websites have to do with this??? the main pics we are talking about is from this site (WDWmagic.com). Just looked at them again and very few Disney items left and not the same items that were there when the bakery was there before.

I'm out.

There are pictures on this very website that show Disney products. If you are going to look at those pictures and still say that it is all Starbucks then I can't help you anymore.

Enjoy your ridiculous level of denial that serves no other purpose than to upset yourself.

Also, they do have cinnamon buns in the bakery. They can only be bought by DVC members.

That's strange - I Googled "peanut butter cupcake at Main Street Bakery" and found a number of articles talking about them there. I'm pretty sure the red velvet cupcake had been there for some time as well.

Main Street Bakery used to carry a dirt cup that was spectacular. I had one whenever I was at the park, but then they stopped selling them a few years ago. At least you cinny roll fans can get something "similar" at Gaston's. My dirt cup is nowhere to be found - and I've moved on.

Now I feel awkward. I'm really not looking forward to the thread that will be created now that I've successfully negotiated with Disney to let me open my Dunkin' Donuts franchise in the Lotus Blossom Cafe. I am required to sell the Hong Kong style vegetable curry over rice.

It took a while, but I've moved on from the strawberry swirl's untimely demise myself.

True we can get one thing similar and I use that loosely lol but not the other items we mentioned they dont have elsewhere. Sorry you lost your Dirt Cup. :(. The cupcakes that are there now you can get a numerous other places on property. I have seen the Red Velvet and eaten one elsewhere, also the peanut butter chocolate If I recall is either at HS or Boardwalk Bakery. Cookies too they have elsewhere. Just nothing unique to the Bakery anymore that's all we are getting at and would let it go if others on this board would allow us o let it go and stop questioning us about it or correcting something we do not word properly etc. Not talking about anyone specific just in general. :)

There is some truth to this...The banana bread pudding and cheese danish are also gone, correct? I think all you can do is complain to Disney. They may tweak the menu more. Who knows....I've lost figaro fries and the strawberry swirl. Maybe there were a million people filled with angst about these things and I should've organized a huge letter writing campaign. Overall, I'm about as neutral as can be about this change. I think the baked goods selection is a step down, but I think the coffee is a step up. I'll reserve judgement on appearance and themeing and lack of seating improving flow until my own eyeballs see the place.
