Main Street Bakery to Serve Starbucks Coffee

Everybody has a favorite small item they enjoy at the parks that you can't get anywhere else. For some it is the Dole whips, some it is the Mickey bars, others the Cinnamon Rolls.

This honestly is all that needs to be said, but sadly, some people just won't accept it. Why is absolutely beyond me.

That simply isn't true. The Disney blog, the trainer that posted here, the Disney Food Blog, and countless others have all posted how there are still some Disney made items.

Like what?

All of the items that were previously sold at the Bakery are either different or no longer sold.

If I'm wrong, then a HUGE apology and egg on my face, but from what I've read and the pics I've seen, I don't see any of the items that my family used to order for breakfast there. They've got the same drinks and bagged goods, but baked goods, I can't seem to find a one.

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)

We know that but it's items they have all over the rest of the parks like cupcakes etc. There is only one tiny area in the case that's Disney items. None of the many favorites people got there before. :)

That may be true. But to say there are no Disney items being sold isn't.

I don't know why people keep comparing sponsorship with this. It's apples and oranges. If Space Mountain's cars were re-themed as Fed-Ex trucks and the ride was re-themed to guests being drivers trying to get packages to places on time, then yes, it would be comparable.

Liberty Tree Tavern is sponsored by Stoufers. Their stuffing, potatoes, and mac cheese are all stoufers out of your local grocer's freezer sold to you there at a premium. It has always happened. Will continue to happen. Things change.

I knew it was sponsored by Stouffers but didn't know it was the same food. I don't go there since they stopped character meals. That's a bit different too. If it's always been that way, then we're not losing anything. Sort of like calling the pizza at Pizza Planet actual pizza.

Of course things change. I'll admit, I'm not a huge fan of it, but it's the way of the world. Personally, I think the majority of Disney's changes over the past several years have sucked. Do I still love the place? Yup. But my love is waning with the crappy changes.

Universal makes changes, but they seem to be good ones. Get rid of one attraction, and replace it with something better. Get rid of one restaurant, replace it with something better. Disney replaces something and it's replacement is a turd.

Was. Its now Ocean Spray. Now they have some ghawdawful craisun cake that replaced the delicious apple cobbler that they had for a dessert years ago. Things change, i suppose.

And exactly why I do not dine there anymore. I have found other places that suit my fancy to eat for dinner. From the sounds of it Mama Melrose is going to the wayside if this DHS stuff is announced. Not going to hear me cry about it even though it is my absolute favorite venue to dine alongside Trail's End.

There are NO items that used to be served at the Bakery left. All of the products being sold there are Starbucks. They can call it whatever they want - It's a Starbucks.
That's not true and you refuse to accept it. You are lying to yourself so you can be upset. What is the purpose of that?

There are pictures linked on this website that shows previous bakery items (cookies, cupcakes, brownies) still present.

I'm not sure what else to say.

Apparently it was changed. The mac n cheese and stuffing still tastes the same however. Protip, the cinn loaf at gastons comes out tasting worlds better than it EVER did at the bakery.

This. I don't get why people are ignoring facts in order to defend their opinions.

My friend Scarlett over at TouringPlans has a fantastic response to this debate.
That is a great reply. Starbuck's is there, it will be there for a long time, and clearly it is very popular. So popular, that all of the debate about missing a favorite cinnamon roll is completely meaningless. Captainkidd, you keep making the same point over and over and over and over. We get it, you miss the cinnamon bun but repeating that over and over won't change a thing. It's there and people have voted with their feet and dollars that they'll use it so it will stay.

Time to stop the pointless debate, the discussion points have been. As the saying goes, get over it and die of something else.

Obviously I missed it - What items that were baked in bakery before it's closing are still being served there?
So this is the direction you are going in now so you can still be upset? Not bullying, I'm legitimately curious why you keep poking trying to find something to be upset over.

I don't think any of us has any knowledge of what is actually baked onsite any more. @PhotoDave219 is probably the most correct. It has more than likely been years since anything was baked onsite in the bakery.

From the looks of the picture the refurb didn't intrude into any backstage areas, so pretty much anything they kept it would be safe to assume they are still doing what they did before.
