This is all I can think about with my family of 5 and the USB A to B to C talk...

All right, everyone got their bands, tablets, phones plugged in?

Has anyone who purchased through My Disney Experience on the website to get the pre-arrival discount actually received a confirmation e-mail? I bought bands for my wife and myself at 10 AM and got the confirmation screen with an Order Number, but still haven't received the confirmation e-mail that they said would arrive "shortly." Thankfully, I took a picture of the screen so I have the Order Number, but I really thought I'd have the e-mail by now since it's been over 3 hours since I purchased the bands.
Yes, I got a "Thank you for your order!" email just after purchasing.

Yes it will function as a basic MagicBand without being charged, but I would think most people are going to want to use the functionality they paid for, and will want to charge. In that case it is a daily overnight charge.
It will be interesting to hear folks experiences with the MB+ including charging solutions, how frequently it needs charging etc.

"If you purchase a MagicBand+, we would plan on a full charge taking at least 90 minutes. From there, the MagicBand+ will lose battery at various rates based on usage. The Batuu Bounty Hunters game seems to be the biggest drain on the battery life with MagicBand+ batteries lasting anywhere from 90 minutes to 3 hours while playing the game. If you plan on playing Batuu Bounty Hunters, make sure that you have a way to recharge your MagicBand+ while at the parks. Disney officially says that MagicBand+ will last anywhere from 1-3 days."

Yup, figured you would know - and as expected, they were (are) dirt cheap to produce. Thanks Martin!

A $3 trinket sold for $35 - "Disney... Now, more than ever!"

Sure, some of that cost could be attributed to the infrastructure upgrades that were years overdue by the time they implemented NextGen, but that level of markup? Nah. That's just greed.

"Unprecedented demand!" - $lappie

Vote with your wallet.

I’d hate to be in a position where my MB+ battery died in the early afternoon (due to playing the Batuu Bounty Hunter game) and then miss out on ride photos later in the day as a result (for guests that aren’t carrying a smartphone with MDX installed and BLE enabled).

IMO they should have implemented an optional (possibly enabled by default) low battery mode, where once you only have 10 - 15% battery remaining, it only works for ride photo linking (and obviously the standard NFC / RFID functionality which doesn’t require a battery).

There's no reason to believe that any such thing is an issue. ONE tweet says the batteries are dying quickly, and that tweet came from a user who was doing nothing but heavy MB+ use.

They literally did the thing you're mad at them for not doing.

You could always bring one of those external battery packs used to change cell phones :)

Another question is, does the MB+ work WHILE connected to the charging connector?

If so, you could wear the MB+ WITH the charging connector, connected to the external battery pack strapped to your forearm :D
