MagicBand+ announced

With Magic Mobile setup on an Apple Watch will it still work if you don’t have 4G on it or tether it with my phone as I was planning to not carry that around too?
MagicMobile doesn't require a data connection to work. If you have just your Apple Watch, photos will not automatically link, as that feature requires your smartphone.

I didn't know you could use an Apple Watch as a Magic Band. Wow, that is awesome.
Can be used for most functions inside the WDW theme parks. Park entry, room charging, lightning lane entry, etc. Eventually, Disney is supposed to support hotel room entry using the Apple Watch.

I never said it was a big deal, just that USB-A is old and not what I'm getting with my new devices.... maybe confusing me with someone else?
Sorry for misunderstanding. This was more of a generic statement for people reading your posts and thought it might be a big deal.
I don’t lnow if people in your situation realize you can buy an adapter or would realize USB A ports are common in resorts.

I have no doubt you're aware of the options. It wasn't directed to you.

I mostly agree except for "It also means they will need 8 USB power supplies to do all of this charging."

Who the heck has a phone that charges with USB-A anymore? The last iPhone to ship with USB-A was something like the iPhone X in 2017.
My Galaxy S-22 came with a USB-C connection on both ends but no wall outlet piece (Samsung no longer provides the wall connection). I'm just using my previous cord with the USB-C/USB-A cord so I don't have to go buy another outlet. My previous phone was USB-C for phone and USB-A side for the wall outlet. DHs phone is 1 year old Motorola that still came with USB-A on one end. Then DD still has a cheap tablet we download movies on for travel, also USB-A.

Yup! Ever since they rolled out MagicMobile, I have been using my Apple Watch for my pass! It’s really convenient and I don’t need to wear a MB or pull my pass out every time.
I still wear both my Apple Watch and a MagicBand since the watch can't unlock the hotel room door yet.

I promise I'm not trying to be a troll, I'm genuinely confused here... Do your USB-C to USB-C chargers not have a normal, plugs-into-a-normal-socket end? I've never needed a "USB charger" in my life because all of my USB-anything devices also just... plug into the wall.

Can you not charge your phone, watch, ipad, Nintendo Switch, power bank, laptop and anything else in one of these bad boys?
Samsung S22 came without the wall plug in, just the cords provided . Apparently it's a trend lately.

I guess I'm the only weirdo for having a drawer full of USB-C bricks. I love the Ultra Fast Charging.

Everything I have is C-to-C also, I just have the bricks for them.

Sorry I'm a bit lost with what you are saying.

The point I was making in the article was that a family of 4 with 8 devices to charge will need 8 USB ports to charge everything at the same time. Exactly how they get those 8 USB ports is up to them. It may be in hotel USB ports, an adapter with multiple ports, or 8 individual bricks.

I've been meaning to mention: I noticed one of my posts was double posted. Have you noticed anything out of the ordinary?

Edit: This post was almost double-posted. When I clicked on 'post' nothing seemed to happen, so, I was about to click it again, when the forum software updated.

I'm saying I have 8 devices and need zero USB ports.

The "two hours" tweet went up at 10:26 AM.

Hollywood Studios opened this morning at 8:30 AM.

MagicBand+ went on sale this morning.

The earliest this person could have acquired this band through legitimate retail channels is 8:30 AM.

The earliest this person could have been playing Batuu Bounty Hunters for two hours is 10:30 AM.

The earliest this person could have been playing Batuu Bounty Hunters for two hours on a full charge is later than 10:30 AM.

These bands likely shipped with something like a 30% charge.

This person is full of crap.
He was using a MagicBand that they purchased during the accidental release in Disney Springs in May. He apparently started today with a full charge.
