Confirmation email came from shop@disneyparks.com minutes after I ordered check your spam folder

I ordered by clicking on order magic bands icon on my resort info on MDE app. That got me log in screen then to an order page on the web

I haven't gotten any email but when I go to the MB page it still shows the order and confirmation number for the trip I matched it with. Also I ordered at like 7:45 this morning. I think they went live at midnight.

If you go back to the screen where you started, you should see the confirmation stuff there and the small icons of what you ordered near your avatars.

I've been checking my spam folder, but nothing so far. I do see the order listed as processing when I log into the website, though. I'm guessing the e-mail is just delayed due to the volume of bands being sold today. Who ever would have guessed that Disney's IT wouldn't be able to handle a busy day? Besides anyone who has ever experienced Disney IT, I mean.

Sorry I'm a bit lost with what you are saying.

The point I was making in the article was that a family of 4 with 8 devices to charge will need 8 USB ports to charge everything at the same time. Exactly how they get those 8 USB ports is up to them. It may be in hotel USB ports, an adapter with multiple ports, or 8 individual bricks.
Good point. Whatever a family brings on vacation needs to be plugged in somewhere and now that we have the magic band + you need to plug in those someplace too.

Those multi port usb hubs plugged into wall wart could charge up a number of them and only use one outlet.

That said, I am guessing that maybe you will not need to plug in your magic band + in every day to keep it charged and even when fully discharged, it will work just like the old magic band with its internal battery dead.

Yes it will function as a basic MagicBand without being charged, but I would think most people are going to want to use the functionality they paid for, and will want to charge. In that case it is a daily overnight charge.

Has anyone who purchased through My Disney Experience on the website to get the pre-arrival discount actually received a confirmation e-mail? I bought bands for my wife and myself at 10 AM and got the confirmation screen with an Order Number, but still haven't received the confirmation e-mail that they said would arrive "shortly." Thankfully, I took a picture of the screen so I have the Order Number, but I really thought I'd have the e-mail by now since it's been over 3 hours since I purchased the bands.
I ordered around 7AM and I did not get an email either. I also grabbed the order number and I can see the status of the order on MDE. but no email has been received.

So how are you charging the 8 devices?
Nintendo Switch charger (brick to USB-C): My phone, headphones, Nintendo Switch, tablet 1, tablet 2, tablet 3

Wife's phone charger (brick to USB-C): Wife's phone, wife's headphones

And none of these things need to be charged daily except for the phones.

There are at least 2 USB supplies right there - the Switch and the wife's phone charger.

I think we may be misunderstanding each other's definition of a USB port. I am referring to a USB port as a port on a charger, or a connector on the end of a mains electrical adaptor plug. But however you slice it, to charge 8 devices at the same time is going to require 8 USB power supplies. The exact makeup of the USB power supply will be up to each person.

When the MB+ became available I must say..I almost fell for it and purchased one. The pull was there, but then I realized that It would just be buying one just to have it. I wouldn't really need it. We already decided to not renew our passes and when we do get back to WDW in Sept. and Nov. we would stay and eat offsite. Have already booked all the park days allowed as we want to get as much out of our remaining AP's as possible without giving them any more money. Don't need one more thing that has to be updated and charged.

I was referring to the wall-side.

I would describe this as "two USB outlets and two standard wall outlets." I don't know if those are the precise electrical terms, but that's how I'd describe them, even if I'm charging a USB-C device using one of the bottom two standard wall outlets.

To charge 8 USB devices, you wouldn't/shouldn't need 8 of the top ports, which is what I thought you were saying.

Sorry for misunderstanding. This was more of a generic statement for people reading your posts and thought it might be a big deal.
I don’t lnow if people in your situation realize you can buy an adapter or would realize USB A ports are common in resorts.

I have no doubt you're aware of the options. It wasn't directed to you.
Sorry for my misunderstanding as well!

I've read through the thread, and don't really see any charging issues/concerns. What are you referring to?
Two things as far as I can tell.

Thing 1 (not concerning at all): People buying these and not realizing that they're only 30% charged out of the box so if you buy them in the park, you're not getting a full battery for Day 1.

Thing 2 (potentially concerning): One tweet (as far as I can tell) saying their battery died after two hours of hard use.

The "two hours" tweet went up at 10:26 AM.

Hollywood Studios opened this morning at 8:30 AM.

MagicBand+ went on sale this morning.

The earliest this person could have acquired this band through legitimate retail channels is 8:30 AM.

The earliest this person could have been playing Batuu Bounty Hunters for two hours is 10:30 AM.

The earliest this person could have been playing Batuu Bounty Hunters for two hours on a full charge is later than 10:30 AM.

These bands likely shipped with something like a 30% charge.

This person is full of crap.
They could be using an MB+ from when they were accidentally sold a couple of months ago.

Thing 1-true, not a concern
Thing 2-was it fully charged?
