Disney Stars on Parade has returned to the parade route. Notable differences include the removal of "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah" from the music of the opening unit, the removal of Crush's dialogue from the Finding Nemo unit, and the addition of the flowery Princesses float from the Pirates and Princesses Festival in lieu of the original three carriages (from Disney Magic on Parade). The steampunk Maleficent dragon seems to be operating in B-mode as well (non-moving mouth and spindle wheel), but still breathing fire.

FOF at MK will need soundtrack changes as well. Hopefully it's an easy fix.

Same with PTN if it ever gets used in HKDL and the States.......

I have just been watching the new video by DSNY Newscast which is raising a topic that has also been going through my mind over the last couple of months. It is about how Disney is doing announcements of new attractions years in advance while other parks tend to wait until construction is in an advanced stage. Examples include the VelociCoaster at Universal Orlando which was only officially announced less than a year before its opening.

While I enjoy those D23 announcements or from other Disney fan events, the wait until those attractions are actually opening has by far become way too long. Plus the frustration with the usual cancelations and Disney sometimes overpromising what they will actually deliver. This includes DLP as well with e.g. the Iron Man coaster having been announced at D23 Expo Japan in 2018 - 4 years before its opening.

Of course, things in big corporations can always change and Covid currently has a major factor on those delays and cancelations. Though I think Disney should reconsider the way and timing on when they announce new attractions.

I am curious not only about how the D23 announcements will look like later this year but also how you feel about this.
It won't really effect DLP as we don't get new attractions ;) (Avengers Campus aside) but while its cool to know what is coming, it does feel a bit meh with the time delay on everything.

I get the decision has been made to remove all traces of that movie but kinda wish they had just waited until the parade is replaced/redone.

The Princess float is a neat replacement for the carriages though! Does anyone know why Crush's dialogue was removed? Seems an odd change?

Good to see it back though! I do get excited hearing the parade music for this one!

Crushes dialogue was absent from the New Years parade. I wonder if it’s linked (forgot to turn it back on)

Considering that Paris is programming Stars on Parade until the 35th Anniversary, I think it's better that they changed the soundtrack now instead of later. I do wish though they worked on restructuring that opening section a bit more since the cut is pretty obvious.

Maybe for the 30th Anniversary relaunch of the parade in March, they'll debut an updated soundtrack of Stars? The newer Frozen 2 unit should be replacing the current one according to DLP Report for the 30th, and I think that should warrant a reworking of the parade audio tracks to include the music of that film (like the one for Magic Happens).

Luckily that decision has been reversed (according to DLP Report); the current Frozen float will stay in Stars on Parade. A good choice if you ask me, as the other Frozen float doesn't fit with the overall theme of the parade.

Hmm, could this be about the 30th anniversary (look at the color schemes of both posts), or the Tower of Terror? (Please be the former.)

DLPReport thinks they can see some of product release/other people saw a some iphone lens so speculating a phone case...so just marketing for the 30th merch most likely!

I doubt we will get any future plan announcements until after Avengers Campus opens or D23 now .
