Imagineers are hard at work transforming Disney Village into a contender for best college campus in the year of 2026.

For real.

All these ‘modern’ redos just look so bland and uninspiring. Nothing about it says ‘Disney’…instead, it says ‘boring modern outdoor mall.’

The original Festival Disney was also modern. Arguably ugly ( to some) but unique and thought provoking architecture for its time.

That was so good, loved it! It's great that the Halloween ending didn't take away from the rest of the show really, I hope they bring something like this to Anaheim since they can't do fireworks every night during the off season.

I understand the reasoning behind the changes, but there’s no reason the new versions cannot be the same or an improved standard.

I mean the Main Street one looks like an improvement. I can't remember seeing the Frontierland one recently, but it has hopefully weathered a bit

I think these are both fine and do not impact the theme and update to more respectful references. The wood timber framing and rope strapping around the edge of the new frontier sign needs to be added back. That would be my only "concern" with these updates.

Bizarrely, in the UK a Chinese eatery is more stereotypical than a laundry (if it was a supposed PC issue that caused the change)

Because they’re not doing the same work? Paris BTM was already closed for 13 months in 2016.
