To be honest this is the part that’s had no official news so far. Maybe it’ll be razed. I’ll miss the globe though !Oh great.
…and a bit more detail
I don't fully understand why they extended into the Wishing Well area. Is that getting demolished?
Will the stage somehow extend all the way over there? or is it getting refurbished as well?
I always thought it is such a nice cozy little corner, I almost wish they made it a bit more like Snow White Grotto (at Disneyland Anaheim), with some sort of water feature and statues.
Nope. Deals have been announced to try and encourage people to book - 20% off for D+ subscribers (existing and new). Why so many Referbs with everyone in Paris???? Won't DLRP get some of that crowd?
Paris numbers are down (but not as much as Orlando). Why so many Referbs with everyone in Paris???? Won't DLRP get some of that crowd?
I disagree about WDS. It was literally in our face last year from when we came out of Studio 1.Oddly it doesn't really detract from the experience when you are there. The pictures online often show quite imposing walls and blockages. However on the ground it feels very different.
The castle stage isn't well used. The hub has been the focus for many years. The storybook area at the back of the park is often closed during slower periods anyway. Space mountain is still running despite being walled. The paving in Fantasyland is incremental.
In WDS, the walls initially seem big but they quickly navigate you round them. I actually enjoy the side path to what was the old Studio 1. Once you're past the first lot, the expansion wasn't an area you could have went to anyway.
So ultimately despite lots of activity - theres not a lot of stuff off the programme or 'in the way'. Making it quite easy to not be bothered by.
The Village and security tents - I have literally no idea what they're up to. They've been refurbishing the fences and tents/bag scanners continuously for 15 years now and I suspect they'll immediately start again - given the nice new security scanners they have at WDW are faster and require less staff.
It's very unlikely we'll see these in Paris in the future as in simplest terms the scanners aren't that reliable. In essence they are 'intelligent' detectors that use some AI/algorithms to try and decide if the object you are carrying is suspicious or not. They can be pretty reliable when detecting firearms as they were made for the US but knives or explosives far less so and DLP needs to be screening for all of those. The Village and security tents - I have literally no idea what they're up to.
