I don’t understand why they don’t run a bus from the Ranch to the parks.
What is the rationale for making them inaccessible to those without a car?
Also, is Uber / taxi a viable alternative?
Yeah, its always confused me. I've always wanted to stay there, even when we have gone with friends with a car, no one to bother with driving really. A Bus service would open it up to so many more people (but I guess maybe they are selling cabins without needing too?)

…and a bit more detail

I don't fully understand why they extended into the Wishing Well area. Is that getting demolished?
Will the stage somehow extend all the way over there? or is it getting refurbished as well?
I always thought it is such a nice cozy little corner, I almost wish they made it a bit more like Snow White Grotto (at Disneyland Anaheim), with some sort of water feature and statues.

The bridge was rotting and had been closed to guests for some time now

Why so many Referbs with everyone in Paris???? Won't DLRP get some of that crowd?
Nope. Deals have been announced to try and encourage people to book - 20% off for D+ subscribers (existing and new).
Airlines are announcing bigger than anticipated losses.
The Olympics draw sports fans to the city. But others stay away at that time. London saw the same trend in 2012.

Paris numbers are down (but not as much as Orlando).

Plus they’re finally fixing a lot of neglect that was building up. There’s never a good time but I commend them for spending the money. At least you see where your admission is going. Plus a lot of Parisian refurbs are several months or years (Fantasyland paving began in 2021 if I recall) and they don’t exactly drag their feet either.

Oddly it doesn't really detract from the experience when you are there. The pictures online often show quite imposing walls and blockages. However on the ground it feels very different.

The castle stage isn't well used. The hub has been the focus for many years. The storybook area at the back of the park is often closed during slower periods anyway. Space mountain is still running despite being walled. The paving in Fantasyland is incremental.

In WDS, the walls initially seem big but they quickly navigate you round them. I actually enjoy the side path to what was the old Studio 1. Once you're past the first lot, the expansion wasn't an area you could have went to anyway.

So ultimately despite lots of activity - theres not a lot of stuff off the programme or 'in the way'. Making it quite easy to not be bothered by.

The Village and security tents - I have literally no idea what they're up to. They've been refurbishing the fences and tents/bag scanners continuously for 15 years now and I suspect they'll immediately start again - given the nice new security scanners they have at WDW are faster and require less staff.

I disagree about WDS. It was literally in our face last year from when we came out of Studio 1.

Walls up around something right outside. Wandered down SoA to find the path blocked. Worse it still tells everyone that Galaxy’s Edge is coming. 😭😭😭

And go past Pixar and again, route blocked with a wall.

It really does detract from a first time visit. At least put some foliage up in front.

Studio 1 is closed now. So you sort of get routed past it rather than how it was last year. The Galaxies Edge poster is gone now but it was there for far too long.

The one at the side of ToT and the other at Cars Route 66, they're not areas that were ever open, so they're not a net increase in a wall.
