MAGICal DLP News, Rumours & Thoughts

This was honestly my thought. In sum, they are just treating this as a cool submarine walkthrough and cutting the connection to an IP that they presume almost nobody remembers.

Don't like this approach as it could have just as easily been a cool submarine walkthrough with the tie-ins to the original film as an extra layer for those who do remember/like it, but that's the only reason I can think of for why they would remove basically everything directly connected to the movie.
There is a wild rumour going around that Sequoia Lodge is getting rethemed to National Geographic. I am curious if these changes are part of it. Otherwise the changes are baffling, especially since 20leagues is getting a new Disney+ serie/movie. On the other hand it would fit DLP's mentality of doing the opposite of WDC.

€200 euro increase on top tier plus a ton of benefits removed.

We were looking at annual passes but by the time we also book hotels, it may be more cost effective to just get the hotel and ticket packages, I’ll have to do the math.

It's sad to see Tom Scherman's magnum opus to be completely ruined by "Imagineers". Imagineers like Eddie Sotto get emotional over this attraction due to its connection to Tom, who passed away shortly after this was created. I don't get this era of imagineering, it's like they sit in a room and think of the most preposterous idea and go with it. It's like they're actively always trying to out do themselves with making something worse. Sure imagineering has its hits, but there have been so many misses lately that it's not even surprising to me. Disneyland Paris is such a unique park and to rip away this attraction would be like taking the POTC away from Disneyland.
Maybe Imagineering is taking a leaf out of lucasfilm's books! Seriously though Disney does appear to be in an odd place these days. DLP sounds like it's going the way of the resorts stateside and becoming much blander
